Because he is smart and quit before the boat drown. Midway is doomed folks, and that really could happen...

I suppose anything's possible, but when you consider Luis' number of years with the company and his contributions, I think he'd be one of the last people to face a lay off or termination.

It could be anything, really. Job burnout, creative differences, knowledge of Midway's financial status, etc..

He's an artist, and MK calls for consistency. Maybe he grew tired of it. That or a knowledge of Midway's fate.
