1. Smoke
-When MKDA was released, I had pretty much given up all hope that Smoke would ever come back. Now he's revived in a design so original, sleek, and beyond all expectations. Unfortunately, change doesn't fly with a lot of people. Their loss.

2. Kabal
-One of the true underground favorites of MK. Although badly executed in MK3, Kabal's vast amount of potential has allowed him to become the object of much fan loyalty. Now's he's back, with an upgraded design.

3. Jade
-By far the biggest surprise in MKD. Not even the insiders saw this coming. The georgeous green ninja now sports an incredibly good story which has earned her a new level of respect. One of my favorites as always.

4. Ermac
-Was anyone really shocked that he was coming back? His connection with Kenshi was pretty much a red flag that he would return. And so far, he has one of the best character designs I've ever seen. Truly MK for ya.

5. Subzero
-Just simply amazing. After being in virtually ever installment of MK, he's developed worlds of depth in both story and character. His design reflects the distance he has covered, and I will never by and MK game that he is not in.
