I love the zombies on black ops and waw however the graphics are not as good as the mw games but over all I think treyark makes the better games.

Am I the only one here who enjoyed MW3 and MVC3?

I will say this about the game - You definately can't button mash your way to victory.

Judging from the cataclysmic cluster-fuck happening on the screen, that caught me off gaurd.

I liked mw3 just not as much as black ops.

I love MVC3, i still play it while MK is gathering dust on the counter. Why? MK was amazing, story mode was mind-blowing and tons of extras and cool DLC. the gameplay got boring really fast though. Ive seen every fatality babality and stage fatality 10000 times, and i got bored with the fighting mechanics. MVC3 is complicated, every character is very unique, its an amazingly varied game and every character provides a different experience, making u wanna master or at least get familiar with all of them, so the replay value is greater.
Like i said before, story mode is non-existant which is a shame with all the starpower the game has, and it lacks extras (which Heroes and Heralds simply does not fulfill) but I dont think its disappointing, especially cause i knew exactly what i was getting...

The game is boring.... That's why. You know, as a "genuine" MK fan since early childhood, I reserve the right to be bored and disappointed by an MK game without being bitched at by the superior fans, thanks.

exactly! especially since being disappointed by a game doesnt mean the game was bad or worse than any other, it just didnt meet personal expectations the person had. Funny thing is that a ton of really good games end up disappointing players because they get so much fanfare they simply cant live up to expectations.

The single best tip for flying a plane or helicopter I can give someone is to switch the controls of your two sticks in the options menu. It just feels way more intuitive.

I never fly planes though. I just feel like you are not really contributing enough (if anything) to your team. I can shit my pants if we are having a tough time getting an objective armed on the ground and half the team are flying around in jets and helicopters. Helicopters are a bit more usefull as they can do a good job against invantry.

Since errbody be throwing in their opinion, I'll thrown in mine. I think black ops sucked horseshit. I did not like that game. I prefer MW over that... Thing.

I liked MVC3. But not as much as MK9. Once you beat the arcade mode on MVC3 it got super boring. No story mode like they promised. The roster was so stupid. The ONE character people wanted was Mega Man and they couldn't even put him in. I don't even like Mega Man but I felt like he deserved to be there. It feels like the game is missing without him. No Venom or Carnage pissed me off too. They can leave out awesome characters and put in X-23 and She-Hulk? Yeah good going crapcom.

MK on the other hand, I never get bored of. Awesome gameplay, cool story mode, challenge tower, krypt full of extras. MK gave you way more bang for your buck.

Are you talking south paw controls, or legacy control setup?

I've read a few places that say legacy controls are the old set from battlefield games, and feel much more natural, but I haven't tried it myself.

Skyrim. Not the game itself, but the horrible console port that PC players got. Runs like shit, UI is shit.

Mortal Kombat was probably the best game that I've played in years..especially an MK game...to me. I read comments about people thinking the game is shallow or boring....so what? People are entertained and enjoy totally different things about a game.


There's is no need to shoot people's opinions down, I mean I'd surely like to know why a game is not liked, but it could truly be as simple as being bored with the game.

I don't play massive RPGs, it's not because they lack content or quality because they don't, it's because I PERSONALLY do not like them and they bore me, I don't want to read walls of text(I could just read a book) or do a bunch of dungeon crawling. That's just me, others love that stuff.



As Kamionero said, just because people are disappointed with a game doesn't make it bad, just not what they were hoping for with the game.



Soul Calibur 4 was a good game, but it wasn't the way I hoped it would be, the feel of SC2 was gone from it, I came back to 2 like crazy.

I'm going to throw my 2 cents in this little "arguement" (if you will.).
The online community shouldn't be a factor, to make ANY game disappointing. Im not saying Harle is wrong or UNdiscovered is right, But saying the online community was disappointing, doesn't mean the game was disappointing.

I think MK9 was okay.

MK 9 was easily on my "top 5 of 2011" list. For those of you dissatisfied, I'm not sure what more you could want out of a MK game.

Good design and story.

What's bad about the design? This is technically one of the tightest executed MK games to date.

And even if you don't like the retcons/plotholes to the story, it was still robust and enjoyable.
