Both teams were good enough to deserve victory.
But I was rooting for Germany, so I completely satisfied with this outcome.

Wooohoooooooooooooooooooooo now that was really a tough one! Argentina was pretty strong and had the better chances but after all the finals in the past years i think we deserve this moment :D

I'm a huge fan of Borussia Mönchengladbach (i know no one will ever spell it out ;D) and Christoph Kramer is a player from us and he played so well til he got injured.

Damn.. i'm a Little sad that Marco Reus couldn't be in Brazil... This is a goddamn strong player. I hope he can Play in the eurpean Championship in two years.

What I will remember from this World Cup:

- Terrible referee decisions throughout the tournament

- Worst Brazil I've ever seen in my life and especially the 7-1 demolition they suffered by Germany (the 3-0 loss to The Netherlands was also bad, but after the German shocker in the round before, this one wasn't as bad and as unexpected)

- Speaking of demolition- defending World Champions and one of the main favorites going into the tourney, Spain, crushed in the opening game 5-1 by The Netherlands (still remember Iker's sad facial expressions from the slow-mo's hehe); and eventually failing to qualify for the knock-out stage

- Another disappointing World Cup performance by Russia

- Forgettable performance by Croatia (Yes, the win vs Cameroon was nice, but Cameroon was a wreck in this World Cup) and bad team tactics by the coach

- Sensational Costa Rica winning the Group of Death in front of 3 nations who had been World Cup winners before (Uruguay, Italy and England), going all the way to quarter-finals and barely losing to The Netherlands; and England and Italy joining Spain in the giants that failed to qualify for the knock out stage

- Wonderful display of football by Colombia (despite missing their star striker, Falcao) and a new star born - James Rodriguez - and that wonderful volley goal vs Uruguay

- Decent World Cup debut for our Croatian neighbors- Bosnia & Herzegovina

- The vampire bite by Luis Suarez that made Uruguay, up until that point my fave team behind Croatia, fall on my list of favorite teams drastically (Hello Colombia, though...)

- Some great goalkeepers: Neuer (Germany), Navas (Costa Rica) and Ochoa (Mexico) I will remember most; speaking of goalkeepers: annoying behavior by Krul, the Dutch goalkeeper substitute that came on vs Costa Rica for the penalty shoot-out, will be remembered too

- Klose becoming the greatest goalscorer in tournament's history (lol) ahead of Ronaldo; cheers to 2002 Saudi Arabia

- So f****ing many games going to extra time in the knock out phase and the lack of sleep it caused me due to 5 hour time difference between Brazil and Croatia

- My sad face when Argentina lost in the final sad

There...

From hot Brazil we go to cold MOTHER RUSSIA for the 2018 World Cup. But before that, there's the 2016 European Championship to be held, with the new format- 24 team field for the first time (too many teams, imo).

Messi voted for best player?

Doping son of a bitch barely produced anything during the world cup, really doesn't deserve the accolades he gets.
