Set to start filming next year. The only one from the last film to return is neo(but maybe not reeves)how does this work.Well since neo died in the 3rd film.Neo's soul or program gets traped inside the matrix. The story sets around the white beard guy that for some reason makes me want to eat chicken from kfc. This one takes little time inside the matrix but most of is tells about neo and people from zion destroying the robot city. This one actually has a different director.

The movie takes place after the events of the matrix online game.

In other news, this would make sense now to rule out Keanu being in the 3rd MK film.

They should have just left this shit alone. Matrix is a great trilogy..this is goin to fuck up it's legacy. And people stop yellin because he ruine the 3rd movie....if you really cared how it ended then you should have watched it by now. It's only been about 10 months.

#1: If you're a big enough fan to care about spoilers for the Matrix films, you would've already seen the movies, and thus, they wouldn't be spoilers.

#2: I doubt very serriously there will be a 4th film. The Wachowski's themselves said Revolutions was the last of the films, so until I see OFFICIAL evidence of this movie, I'll call it bogus...

That's good news to me. I think we diserve a sorry sequal

(examples of a sorry sequal: Alien Ressurection, Halloween 4the return of michael myers})

I would LOVE to see a 4th matrix film. since there's a long time between now and 2006, they have time to form a good story and will give us something good like The Matrix or Reloaded... and not a steaming pile of cat shit like Revolutions that done fucked up the whole trillogy.

Really, since when??

Anyway, I havn't seen the third one yet, but on the bright side you guys didn't spoil it for me. No someone else did on the board back when Revolutions came out and they didn't put up a spoiler alert. I'll give credit where credit is due, the first movie was thought pravoking and it difined what an action movie should be, at it's time. But both sequels really diminished what the first established. It took whatever clever and unique ideas it had established in the first movie and ruined it with an overabundance of technical dialoge that half the audience wouldn't get and turned the Neo charecter into a modernday Jesus(which was uber predicatable). And to top it off the movie provided possibly the most annoying special effect ever created, which is bullet-time. It was cool in the first movie, it got tired in everything else that used it during the four year gap between the first two flicks, and was beaten to death in Reloaded.

Now as far as a fourth instalment goes, I don't see why it should be made. The story has it's beginning, it's middle and it's end. And without the original cast I don't see how any money can be made from the series' fans.

You know it's days like this when I wish it was Alex Winters that got the big Hollywood push instead of Keanu Reeves.

I thought the first Matrix movie was good, the second put me to sleep the 3rd didnt know when to end battle scenes... and a fourth is just stupid, its a money scam i say, using a huge fan base to spawn money consuming unnecesary sequels... to be honest i expected this to happen because the franchise was to popular and they where going in to many different directions with the anime versions and the video games to quit...

The first one was good, but after that they were so 'story' driven, and the story made no sense, and you have an actor who sucks (Reeves) trying to get this story across to us, well...

They made a mark in Hollywood history tho, can't take that away from them.

It IS a great Trilogy, matter of taste, I prefer this trilogy to the Lord the rings one. How can you say the contrary if you didn't see the last one? (rolleyes)

I'm won't say anything about the 4th film until it is official.

Between the 101 threads about the last one when it came out and a friend of mine who is obsessed with the movies, how can I not know the entire movie. You're right though, it is a matter of taste. It just doesn't suit mine.

Fuck no not another stupid Matrix movie. Man the last 3 were bad enough, no need to make another one. Fuck, 3 movies, an animated feature, and 2 or more videogames, I think the story has been told enough.

I thought I was the only one who felt that way. Lord of the rings is cool and all... but the only one that dosen't really lag is the 1st. The Matrix (even though the 3rd one sucked beyond reasonable speaking) still has two good films and some good closure... oh yeah, and if we wanted to watch the trillogy all at once.. it wouldn't take a week... like LOTR.
