I live in Minneapolis, MN. I am currently attending college and working two jobs. My first job is administrating a company intranet. My second job is caretaking for my apartment which earns me free rent!
I have a degree in computer programming, and I am working on a degree in managment, my long term goal is to own my own company, maybe a retail store.
I have had troubles in my life. I grew up in poverty, I was homeless for some time. When I was younger I was even shot. When I was 14 I started working to get more in life. Now I am in such a better place in my life. I am financially secure and happy.
I have a girlfriend, we are good friends. She gets me and vice versa. I grew up with her and lost touch, we ran into each other a year ago and started dating.

hmm, glad to hear you turned out to have a really good life born again, :). I really meant more like hobbies and interests, however since you got personal i feel obliged to get a bit more personal.

Born in Dallas grew up in a town an hour and a half away called Tyler, live in the Houston area now. Parents are divorced(split up 3 years ago), I live with my mother and her boyfriend. My father is in fed. prison.

I got one older brother. I converted to Islam in Dec.02', after doing several months of research into it. I was prompted into looking it up by my friendship over the internet with a girl who was half Palestinian. She didn't practice Islam, but her father did, and I talked to him on IM several times. Nice guy.

Anyway, so I am here now so yeah. Couple of interestings things about me..

-When I was 4 during the 92' campaign we attended a campaign rally of Clinton's, and I was held by the soon-to-be President, we still have it on video..and we later were to find out there was a poster of it in the White House during the Clinton admin. I actually still remember the encounter, and it is infact one of my earliest memories..

-I'm related to two famous people. On my father's side, I am related to the famous 19th century bank robber Jesse James(pretty shocked to find that out, found out recently..), and on my mother's side, to Jimmy Carter. My grandmother, her maiden name is Kay, and Jimmy Carter's mother was a Kay cousin(although I'm not sure HER maiden name was Kay..), anyway, that is how we are related. No, never met the guy.

-My father is a salesman(he is not a career criminal), my uncle is a salesman, their father was a salesman, and my great grandfather was a salesman. Throughout the 20's, 30's, and 40's he was a travelling salesman and it was later found out AFTER his death(although supposedly my grandfather and one of his brothers already knew) that he kept a total of 4 seperate families, and had alot of illegit kids, altogther over 150 kids. I probably have somewhere in the range of 1 to 2 thousand third cousins descended from his children.

And yeah..I am really reall unusual, I figured that out a while ago.

Also I forgot, my great grandfather(not the salesman guy, my father's mother's father) was full-blooded Cherokee Indian, so I am at least 1/8th(12%) indian, however I am sure I am probably more than that, because I know there is some on my mother's side.

I don't know the Arabic versions of these others, but admiral, alchemy, alphabet, atlas, zine, magazine, assasin, sofa, are other English words originated in the Arabic language.
