A CAVEAT AGAINST VIOLENCE

I understand why you'd say that. I'm not even sure I want to see the video, but I wouldn't allow my emotions after seeing it to cloud the reasons for signing up. I would like to think that those who have and will sign up would do so to help the people in Iraq and not to just seek revenge. If they only did that, then it would not only taint our purpose for being there ,but it would destroy the moral person inside.

And don't get me wrong. I'm really agry for what as happened so far.

But heres how I feel. I think They are fucking scumbags. And it pisses me off everytime one of these fuckers kills an american because we do NOTHING back. These slimy fucks are killing our men, one by one yet we fucking sit here with IRAQI prisoners and we just fucking look at them. We are scared to kill. Its like our last fucking resort. And its complete bullshit. I'm sick of them killing our men and us just standing around and doing as if to say "Hey!, we're America....We don't have to kill anyone. Lets make a peace treaty." If I was president, I'd fly a fucking plane over there and bomb evey city there. Men, Women, Kids. All of them. And that thing, in the news... They mentioned the place in the article. Where we beat up Iraqi Prisoners. We shocked their balls, made them walk around naked. Do you know how PROUD I felt? I'm not a violent person by any means but whats right is fucking right.

Its only fair that since they dont give a shit about our people why should we give a shit about theirs?

I don't see how you could preach that Tao shit after watching this video. That is one of the most unsettling things I have ever watched... words can't describe what i'm feeling righ tnow. This man was a NON COMBATANT. He wan't even a government employed citizen. He was simply a free roaming entrepeneur that was brutally slaughtered.

Well thanx to me wanting to see the tape, i did finally see the tape. I am sorry that i saw it and even more sorry that i even wanted to. First off it about made me sick literally. Secondly, it really pissed me off to no end. I dont know what we should do or could do but it needs to be something. I know its started now and nothing will change that but c'mon man. That guy wasnt even military. Just some guy over there helping THEM rebuild THEIR fucked up country. He was just their to install communication satellites and such. Not even a military person trying to kill them. ONLY trying to help them get better and look what it got him. I dont know what else to say about it.

We can't forget justice despite outrage. Too often people feel that they should kill everyone who may resemble those that have made us feel pain, oftentimes that includes those who've done nothing wrong. You don't kill innocents because innocents were killed regardless of how outraged we may be of an occurance.

It's morally reprehensible what happened, there's no doubt about it. But we can't kill everyone in sight just because we're ticked off about it. You find those responsible and you deal with them.

The soldiers that abused the iraqi prisoners was a very small minority and no one agreed with what they did... thats no excuse to cut someones head off... the prisoners where just humiliated, they where unharmed but this guy got beheaded... call me crazy but u dont pay back some dumb pictures with brutal violence...

Actualy there are 1000 more photos and those are the ones being photographed. How many others werent. Red cross said this was happening long ago. No one believed them. Are you retarded? Do you know how many Iraqi people Americans killed over there. Not defending these actions by far but the Americans are no better when it comes to what they do over in Iraq. The only difference is they don't videotape it. Instead they get high and take photo's of *NON COMBATANTS* being tortured. Don't think they're so innocent simply because of what you read or see on CNN. They do alot of worser things over there.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for "liberation" (As Bush likes to call it) but what Americans are doing over there doesen't even come close. Unless killing innocents and pumping their country's oil is your definition of liberation.

In both cases, the ends don't justify the means. But I'm sorry to say that you cannot defend America's actions over these when they're just as bad...if not worse.

It's a war, there was always going to be civilian casualties, it can't be helped. I saw the footage on the news today, and all I could do was shake my head in disgust. What I don't think is fair, however, is the fact that a hell of alot of innocent people from Iraq have been killed for no reason and it doesn't get mentioned on the news. 1 innocent American gets killed, and it's world news in under 24 hours.

It is a horrific thing to have happened and I obviously don't like it in the slightest, but it isn't as if the Iraqy people haven't suffered from this war too. Regardless of the governments BS, I could almost garauntee you innocent Iraqy people were also killed and slaughtered for no reason (not by accident, either). The treatment of the prisoners in Iraq prisons was going to have reprocussions, this is it. It isn't right at all that an innocent man died and it makes me sick, but his blood is on the hands of those US soldiers working in that prison, for a change you can't blame Iraq.

Edit - It's perfectly fair enough to be pissed off about it, I am too for that matter. Although you have to ask yourself what matters more - Getting revenge, or getting that country out of shit so this sort of thing stops happening? Returning the favour will probably get 2 innocent American killed, return the favour after that and next time it will be 4, and so forth. More violence and killing isn't going to help, just make things even worse than they already are.
