i dont go to gamespot ign or any other game sites for the reviews i dont listen to there reviews i listen to my friends because we have the same taste in games

Well, if you dont like RPGs or Star Wars, then I suggest you dont go near it. But if you do, then its worth it for you to check it out.

Same camera angle, but the games differ enough to belong to different genres. Jedi Academy is an action game, whereas KOTOR is an RPG. There's a party system, an inventory, stats & level-ups, money, shops, quests, NPC's, killing stuff for XP points, the lot. You even get to choose how (and when) you actually go about doing a lot of the quests.
