Yeah. Same here. Played through the first (my personal fave), plowed through the second, and just finished the third. Resident Evil, eat your heart out. No, really. Eat it out. That would be cool.

Yeah, me and my friend always used to argue over which game was better. He said Resident Evil was a lot scarier. Yeah, it has shock value (shit jumping out at you) but that's about it. Silent Hill has a way of deeply disturbing you for days on end. Ewww, creepy....

Resident Evil is B-movie, Friday the 13th thrills. Silent Hill is easily comparable to The Ring, Sixth Sense, or any other psychological thriller... the kind that stay with you longer after you stop playing.

Have you seen Trailer 2. The ending gave me the chills.

I know, where that freaking creature comes running at the screen. It's freaking creepy, I don't admit this to many people, but Silent Hill is the only form of media, (movies, videogames, shows, etc....) to give me nightmares. But they are cool, and at the same time scary as hell.

I'm gonna get it for sure.

I have silent hill 1 2 and 3, and the 3rd one is the scariest for me. It's the only game to ever make me jump several times.

I never played silent hill 1. But i bought silent hill 2 for the x-box and the silent hill 3 for the ps2. They were pretty cool games. I cant wait to get sh4.

I said the preview on IGN and it looked awsum, I'm definetly buying it.

Silent Hill series are the best EVER!!

When my friend let me borrow his playstation he had a demo of Silent Hill one. I loved it so much that I bought a playstation and the game.

mmmmmm.... no, the ring sucked and 'The sixth sence' was good on a subtle level that the ghost was in denial and the boy was in the gift/curse internal conflict stage... Silent hill just tries to gross you out, Resident Evil is more plot driven but the story doesn't wind as much and seems more concise. Also that the main focus of RE is zombies and that is a genre that has been done to death(no pun intended) making it seem stale, yet it's a story told to the point that you acctually believe it could happen...
