This is my first post on this website and would appreciate any help I could get. What I want to know is if anybody on here has used the pelican real arcade stick for MKDA on Gamecube and if you had any trouble.I cant seem to get all the buttons to work. The only buttons that want to work are the four action buttons plus the Z.Left and Right buttons don't want to respond.

The only thing that came out of Pelican Studios was the Gamecube/N64/SNES AV cords. Everything else from them sucks. The Wireless controller, arcade controller for the PS, etc. That's pretty much why I don't have the arcade stick

I never thought about using an Arcade stick to play MK:DA. I would prefer a controller but an arcade pad sounds pretty cool, even though I stopped using them since MK4.

I take it you haven't tried these new arcade sticks, then.

I'm always wary of 3rd party peripherals, but after risking the purchase of one of these sticks, I bought a 2nd after seeing how well it worked.

I have never "owned" a pelican, but I've "used" one. Pelicans blow ass. Consumer sticks which are sold at GameStop and those places, blow ass. The best thing to do is get a Hori stick or build your own. Redoctane sells sticks and kits to build them, too. But their boxes kinda suck, even though they're highly mod'able - I think they can fit a Sanwa or Seimitsu 0_0 !@!@! Even X-Arcade isn't "that" good. They state that "real" arcade components are used; but, what they're really saying is that "real arcade parts replicated from happs that are made in china" are used.

I'd open up the casing and peep in side. If you have a current tester use that on the copper points of the buttons that don't work. If you just got it, return it for another and see if the same thing happens; it may just be defective.

Here are some links if you want a decent stick or if you want to build your own - which is the BEST option if you're willing to fry a few pcb's and get really pissed a few times ^_^.

Though, just get a redocatane if you want a stick with out any hassle. There's Mass, of course, but they've been sucking ass the past couple of years.
