Sonic all the way baby! I mean, Mario was cool, but for some reason, Sonic just has a more bad-ass attitude than Mario does. Plus, remember the Sonic Cartoon that used to come on ABC? The one where Sonic and them are all like, Freedom Fighters, and Dr.Robotnik has a robotic arm? Man, that was my show!

I have been a mario fan ever since I played Super Mario World on SNES. Sonic had way too many games, the only Sonic game that I liked was the one for 32X.

I barely remeber Sonic the cartoon...but i have friends that know the intro song to Mario Cartoon, "swing your hands from side to side..."

I love the fast pace of Sonic games, but I also love the platform hopping of Mario. I could care less about the cartoons and that other stuff. The games are all that matters to me.

I haven't really liked Mario since Super Mario World... they need to have a 3-d game with Mario 3 and World power-ups.
Sonic has had a place in my heart since the first one on Genesis. Sonic Heroes is fun as well. Sonic all the way.

Sonic is the SHIT. I love that image of Mario *SMB3*, exploding!
Oh and there's a Sonic cartoon I found out about last weekend, it's called Sonic X, and it's based on Sonic Adventure* I love that game ...along with every other game in the series!

I love them both, but probably Mario a lil better. IMO though the super mario movie sucked horribly.

I used to watch both super mario and sonic on T.V. when i was very little, i used to love there shows. I also got into playing super mario 1 on the nes when i was around 3.

Ever since, i play almost all the super mario games. My favourite one for the nes was super mario 3.

For the SNES, i loved super mario world and super mario RPG, as well as yoshi's island. Not to mention mario kart.

For the 64, my favourites on there would have to be paper mario, mario kart 64, super mario 64, the mario party series, and mario tennis.

Paper Mario and mario tennis was awesome.

For the GC, i currently play Mario kart double dash and mario party 5. I already beat mario sunshine and Luigi's mansion. I cant wait until super mario 128, Mario tennis GC, and Mario party 6 comes out.

lol, i'm a mario freak, i love all there games. I have the sonic games for the sega, and a few for gamecube, including the new ones. Sonic is awesome.

I always thought Sonic was cooler... but I would have to say I'm a Mario fan... I still think Super Mario Brothers 3 is 1337.

I haven't played Sonic since the Megadrive/Genesis and haven't played Mario since N64.

I liked Sonic much better as a platform game though back in the days. It kicked arse!

Super Mario Kart & Mario Kart 64 were great games when it come to Mario though...

I only had a Snes so i guess Mario wins it for me, tho i have played sonic on megadrive and sonic adventure on dreamcast,tho not for any length of time they were good but i prefer mario especially Mario RPG, it was good to see the series try something different and i thought it worked well.

Sonic CD was one of the greatest side-scrollers ever, in my opinion. But so was Super Mario 3 ...

I like Sonic because it was faster and had an amazing soundtrack (particularly Sonic CD).

However, Mario has more "things to do" and the adventure was more involving.

It's gotta be a tie, but I do have to diss the Sonic cartoon for having Jaleel White (re: Steve Urkel) voice Sonic. And I have to diss the Mario Show for having Captain Lou Albano as Mario. LAME-O-CITY.

I have to say that I like Sonic >this much< more than I like Mario. Super Mario was my first experience in videogaming and I totally dug it. I played all the mario games, watched the cartoons (I have two Mario cartoon DVDs) and was in the theatre the first day that the movie came out. But Sonic saved my sanity through the hard times by letting me dive into the comics. I read the Sonic series from issues 1 thru 60-something and I got up at the butt-crack of dawn to watch the ABC cartoon that was based on the comics. The games were also alot more rewarding. I mean come on, Sonic 2's ending almost brings a tear to my eye because it was so epic for a platforming game.

Super Mario. Mario was Italian, had a bad ass enemy, gets sum princess booty, and hisa best friend is a cool ass dinosaur-dragon-frog-lizard...thing(yoshi)
