I think most people are right when they say its not ruined if it is pg-13. Dont get me wrong, it should have been R for the gore but look at other movies that were well licensed to franchises that were pg-13, mortal kombat was great and resident evil was decent. Remember for AvP the storey line, acting and special effects are the most important to this type of film, not gore. If you want gore go see Freddy vs Jason again that was pretty much the whole movie....gore. I still think it will be a above average sci fi film.

Resident Evil was rated R. Anyone remember watching the first Predator on network television? Whenever they showed the scene when Carl Wethers got his right arm blown off, the camera would cut away right before it happened. Then you would just see him shooting with his left arm, while what was left of his right arm was always hidden. Expect a lot of that with AvP.

How are they gonna make a good Aliens and Predator movie with a PG-13 rating? It has "gore" in it, but I really doubt that it'll be the nearly-skinned humans of Predator or the acid-burned and gut-burst people of Aliens. So... um... what about the aliens and predators themselves? Won't an intergalactic war like this result in some dismemberment? Oh well. Director's Cut, wait for me. Fatality.

I still dont agree with this idea that the pg-13 sucks cock and so do movies with the rating. That does not mean the presantation of the whole film will be complete bullshit because the sets that were built looked amazing. Action is another keyword for this film i think and that means LOTR type battles, not gore intense violence that demeans the purpose of the movie, it is being sold as an action film.
