But the fact that i still looks great and the atmosphere will rule makes still want to see it.

Maybe i'll stomp a few kiddie skulls (if i have to) just to get a little piece and quiet to watch this movie, because i'm still going to see it, i just hoped it would be brutal, sadistic, horrific, bloody, spine-chilling, and just a pleasant movie to watch

I mean.. I don't mind the human actors because they are only "Kills" for the Aliens and the Predators. We know they can't act for shit. But us horror fans don't watch horror movies and expect Pacino and DeNiro. We expect Bloody Kills. And those humans are there simply for spilling blood on the screen.

There might be a R Directors Cut on DVD. But... Even if there is, they are making us wait for it. Gay.

that sucks... i was a big fan of the Avs.P comic series to... u know its shit when one franchise has 4 movies all rated R the other has 2 movies both rated R and u pit them against each other and u get PG-13... the human actors REALLY dont matter now cause theres no way to have a decent A or P kill when u wont be able by law to see it!!! oh well ill just wait for Robocop vs. the Terminator

hmm, I don't know. It sucks that they made it PG-13. but the previews of it I saw at the theatre was really good. I thought it looked kick ass!.

how the hell can it be pg13? i was just thinking of the trailer where it shows the predator with the huge sword come out of his arm. What can he do with that huge sword in a pg13 movie? LAME. I knew the story was going to suck but what was going to make up for it was the brutal action. What is the point now.

The movie can still be good without the gore. Dont get me wrong, I'm fucking pissed aswell, but I still have hopes for everything else, namely the storyline, the special effects, the action (wether it has gore or not), and the final showdown where we will finally be given a winner.

However, for SOME reason, its only human blood which drives up ratings. I never understood this myself, and if we saw the movie, we'd probably see a LOT of Predator and Alien blood, with very few human kills.

Last year's versus movie, Freddy Vs. Jason, was actually really good (even the teenagers weren't stupid douchebags). It was basically what everyone expected in a match-up between the two.

Now depending on how the humans are played out, it could be bad, or it could be good. If this goes the way of Mortal Kombat: The Movie, then expect a lot of Predator and Alien gore, but very few (if any) human gore shots. That's not necessarily a bad thing. I'll probably still see it, but I'm with you all when it comes down to the rating. This movie should be R. No exceptions.

Under normal circumstances, I'd say something along the lines of "Jesus Christ, who gives a fuck what it's rated?" but this is bullshit. It's supposed to be a horror movie. You can't have a movie based around violence and not have any of the type of violence that horror fans want to see nowadays. It just doesn't work.

The Predator can do the same thing with his wrist blades in a pg-13 movie that Wolverine could do with his claws in the X-men movies. Slash at peoples throat, guts, chests, and impale various bodyparts without there being a single drop of blood. Go look at the Wolvie/Deathstrike fight in X-men 2, if you want an example.

LOL!! Dude you put alot of anger into those words!! I feel ya bro, I haven't seen the movie yet but you guys say it's PG-13? *Starts puking out blood and guts and internal organs*. I'm still gonna see it though because I'm a big fan no matter what.

Guys, the movie is all ready filmed and done, Paul Anderson did make this gorey and all that, it'll probably be as gorey as the first movies in each franchise anyway. One of the spokes people for the studio explained that you can just get away with more in movies today and still hit PG-13. Besides if the movie is good than it is good if not then its not, explain to me why it being PG-13 ruins it so much? does that mean the story can't be good, or the deaths aren't going to be as satisfying. I think this is more whining over superficial details the concern over the content of the movie.

If all you want is a ridiculous amount of blood and guts then their are plenty of movies that will satisfy that desire. I'm going to see AvP not because I want to see blood fly everywhere but I loved all the movies in each franchise for plot, atmosphere, and thrill factor. I'm not gunna complain about the rating (if it were G I would be worried but not for one notch down from R), you can if you want but its not going to stop me from seeing the movie I've been waiting for for several years.

Behind Enemy Lines, All of the Jurassic Park movies, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Van Helsing. What do they have in common, pretty bloody films and all PG-13!!! Oh and for those of you who have seen Jaws, based on todays ratings system that movie is PG period. I guarantee that Alien, Aliens and the first Predator would all be PG-13 in today's rating system. Why am I even arguing this? Probably a waste of time some, if not most of you, will still hold onto your distaste of the movie based upon the rating. Whatever, here's my argument. Have a nice day.

Just like King Arthur, I went in NOT knowing it was PG-13 but every time someone got cut it cut away! I was like "Fuck, this is PG-13." And its so bad! Its like, getting blue balls in a sense. Like a girl is giving you a mouth job and right when you're about to Release she stops and ties your hands behind your back really fast so you couldn't finish yourself off OR punch her in the fucking jaw.

Just think of it like that... Such a build up to something really GOOD THEN....nothing...

The DVD is supposed to get the R rated version where the camera doesn't cut away.

what? an alien Versus Predator movie??? friggin awesome!!! maybe it'll be up there with such great game flicks as Mortal Kombat: annihilation, seriously though Alien Vs. Predator 2 for computer is a fantastic creppy game expierence which is only topped by the best PC game in atmosphere Half Life... or upon resent inspection Far Cry...

Just like "King Arthur" another movie goes from R to PG-13. At least the R version will be on DVD. I can't say for AVP but it doesn't look like they were shooting for an R version. Just a lot of mood and environment. It's just another monster movie and besides these types of movies aren't supposed to work.
