Quest 64 for the N64! Maaaaan! The N64's first RGP was supposed to start a franchise. The only thing it did was bore the hell out of me. It was nice looking and all and even the bosses looked decent. But it was just so tedious to gain experience. Beat enough monsters and then level up. That's it! Nothing dynamic to keep me interested.
It's was a legit 60 hr game that took me 9 hrs to beat! Big friggin YAWN!!!! And I didn't even need to use a memory card cause it was just plugging away at it and everything was so simple. Blaster Master was more entertaining!

MK4 is a game that could have been a lot better, but it's still fun.
Devil May Cry 2 just plain sucks.
Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is very good, but it is WAY too unbalanced.
Soul Calibur 2 isn't as good as the original. It is too much the same.
Last but not least, Mario Sunshine SUCKS! I hate that stupid water gun thingy.

Yes, MvC 2 is highly unbalanced...one of the most unbalanced fighters I've ever played. Of course, it's an inherent problem whenyou have 56 characters, most of which existed aready in different franchises with different styles of gameplay.
Red Faction 2 is just...odd. It incorporates the Geo-Mod to a much better degree than the 1st, but the flow of action is quite erratic, and even though you have 3 life bars (each of which refill when you stop getting hit), it was WAY too easy to die in a quick firefight.

Blast Corps:
What the fuck?
Celebrity Deathmatch:
Entertaining show with a constant "whats going to happen next?" factor, that was lost entirely on the game.
Simpson Wrestling:
This game could have been great, with a lot of moves and Simpsons humour, but sadly it lacked both (hell some of the moves were totally pointless).
MK:DA:
We all know why by now.
Tekken3:
Don't kill me yet...
I consider myself a "fan" of the series but this didn't even come close to living up to the hype. Although it introduced sidestepping, i found the new characters lackluster (Forest law,
Mokujin, Ling, Jin, Eddy, and most of all, Orge/True Ogre), which really dulled down the mood for me. I hated the story and thought it was ridiculous. The general presentation of the game disappointed me, and i felt as if the oriental feel that T2 had was lost (and then a little later, violently slaughtered with TT, which was the worst of the series in my opinion).
It's a little strange i loved Tekken, Tekken2, and Tekken4 though (although T4 still lacked the T1/T2 feel, sort of how MK lost it's feeling after MK2).
Oh and i forgot Soul Calibur II:
This game was just a letdown because of massive amount of hype surrounding it. I thought it would revolutionize the genre, but it did nothing for me but provide something pretty to look at. I felt as though a lot characters were sort of the same as others (too many axes probably). Involving Heihachi was ridiculous too, not because he didn't have a weapon, but because it's like mixing Street Fighter with MK. Little to no replay value for me either. I would be just as content playing Soul Blade if it wasn't for the good looking characters.

biggest game letdowns ehhh???? well I got a few here they go: DMC2 (this game sucked so badly I'm glad i only paid $10 for it), MGS2:SOL (great game but the whole Raiden thing killed it for me but, good game tho), Final Fantasy X-2 (worst sequel ever), Marvel vs Capcom 2 (the gameplay wasn't really that good), Celebrity Deathmatch (don't get me started on this game!!!! this is a piece of S#*t avoid it at all cost!!!!!!) well thats it I guess unless i think of some more.

my greatest letdown this year is spiderman 2 they made the game sound real good and it ended in like 8 hours of play. i cant really say whats my biggest let down of all time though theres too many

Ya can't really be that harsh to FF X-2 since it was made to be a filler. You can't go 4 years without releasing another part of an ongoing franchise, and since Square fucked up by making 11 an online game instead of giving it its own title. Wa-lah! A game to fill the void.
As for my vote, I say DMC2 and Stuntman. Two awfully crappy games.

| Ghaleon Wrote: dont even get me started on the flashlight, gun deal in D3, Shingz has already had to heard that grip from me more than once... as for biggest let down, i would have to say... Final Fantasy X-2... |
Oh, but wait... There's more! You have to love the fan base for PC games. Especially when the editor is given with the game, great things like this come along !
Oh, and I only played ffx-2 for about 45 minutes before i just stopped playing.
