If they sold the characters as dlc i could get the 2 i want and leave the rest! So i'd be SAVING money!

... and the tournament player who HAS to buy all the characters so he can get decent match-up experience still has to pay $60.00.

MK released downloadable characters, and 100 desync issues later, I wish that had must make Ultimate MK9 with a better net code.

(kinda like what Capcom is doing).

They could just hmm i don't know PATCH THE GAME!

I did, I enjoyed what ive played fo that game...so far.

@whoever followed me up with remarks on RE4 and RE5.

Yes, in their own light, they were amazing and great games. They just weren't amazing and great Resident evil games. Characters, plot, canon integrity and believability all went out the fucking window.

All they needed to do was change the names, looks and logos of past characters. BAM a great new series. All while leaving RE intact in its glory.

Capcom needs new staff. Period. Whoever is writing this shit needs to be dragged to the street and shot.

NRS patched the game. There are still issues.

Either way, if someone DOES want all the content (stages included), Ultimate Marvel is a fantastic deal.

Ah....I remember those cryptic notes and shit with disturbing stories of the writer's time up until their demise.

If the next RE is True School Survival Horror, you think they'll have you paying to download those scary files like from RE3? (joke, but I do fear it just the same)

I expect them to not make people pay for on-disc content.

If you want it, buy it.

If you don't want it, don't buy it.

The argument of whether or not it should have a price is a complete waste of time. It's video game content for Pete's sake.

m0 has a valid point though. Paying money to unlock content that is already on your disc is like paying money to use the escape button on your computer.

You have a door.

You need a key.

You buy a key.

You open the door.

There's nothing to complain about.

I dont get why people think this is a new thing, Capcom have been rereleasing games forever. I noticed this with all the different versions of street fighter 2 on the snes and its been happening ever since. If you dont like it dont buy it.

Quite alot of the time, its a good deal too, super sf4 for example added 10 characters, last vf game added 2 (3 in final showdown), last tekken 9 characters, last mk no new characters (cyber sub-zero no way counts). So for a game that was released cheaper than other new titles and is just an update looks pretty good.

Once again RE5 ge was released at a more budget price and included loads of new content that you could download if you already had the game.

No, you have a box. A box which has measurable goods inside of it. Capcom is trying to sell you stuff you already own.

I do think that Capcom is a greedy company like Activison.

What I think about the Street Fighter 4 thing:

When Super Street Fighter 4 was released, it says it is the ultimate SF4 experience (which I think is true), it is a really good game, but when I look at it like this:

Street Fighter 4 released + Super SF4 released later + Capcom is all about the $$$ = ???

Then I think: "Capcom must've been working on making SF4, gave us SF4 (and giving us on-disc DLC for SF4), then after a while, released Super Street Fighter 4, we think they have given us a SF4 expansion, at first.
When they've really given us the finished SF4 and that the "Street Fighter 4" they've released earlier was actually a Beta version released for the purpose of gaining money."

I'm only guessing this, but considering the greediness of Capcom, this idea seems believable to me.

---------- Onto Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition.

I'm not too sure about this, but I heard on GameFAQS people were asking Capcom to deliver SSF4: Arcade Edition (previously only availiable on the Japanese Arcade Machines) to the other regions. People were willing to pay for it and of course, Capcom released it to the other regions of the world.

SSF4: AE can be bought as a physical copy, including the original Super SF4 on the disc. Or it can be bought as DLC for $14.99, if you already own SSF4.

SSF4: AE, isn't really the ultimate SF4 experience, to me, though it adds 4 new characters and includes character-rebalancing. Only because the rebalancing actually unbalances the characters, making the odds of winning more in favor of those who play offensively, making SSF4: AE more of a rushdown-based game. Good thing if you have SSF4: AE, you can always switch back to the original Super Street Fighter 4.
grin

That's like complaining about Nintendo selling Pokemon games in two separate installments, or having to buy Action Replay to get a pokemon that's already in the game.

So it takes a little more to get something than you want it to take, so what? It's not as if the content already presents itself for complete use, but they're charging you anyway. You can't use it until you pay for it.

So, if you want to use it, pay for it.
