confrontation between me and my old boss turns towards the worst!!!

today i worked from 2 till 10, and everything was going fine... about 9:45, my old boss from my last job walks in, me and him have been friends for awhile, and just walks up to me and says "listen motherfucker, u better quit saying shit" and i just ask him what hes talking about, then he just goes into a cussing rampage and leaves... i was nervous cause i didnt know what i had done!!! well when i got home i talked to a friend of mine that still works there and they said that a bunch of people has been coming in and saying that i said that my old boss was gay and that he never hires women!!! i was dumbfounded, and it really hurts and makes me angry that he would just take for granted its true and cuss me out in front of my fellow employees and customers... i dont know what to do to clear up this situation... i know for a fact that ive never said anything negative about him, i have always repsected him...

from what you said i take it that people have been spreading rumors. Rumors get started in the ugliest of ways, and they expand like a bubble. He probably denied the rumors at first, but then got sick of hearing them. Maybe he felt like he had to stand his ground and show that he could stand up for himself, and he did so in a childish way.

Best thing to do is not to blame people for spreading rumors, but to just confront the situation and explain that you simply didnt start shit. Hopefully he'll understand and realize that your actually not one to start shit.

First off the playa didn't have too show out like that at your workplace no matter how hot the cat is.

Second, he acts like you shot somebody and i find it weird that he didn't just wait until after work to discuss it. Finally i am glad that you acted mature because if he did that to me, man that place would have gotten krunk fo sho!

1)Fuck your ex-boss. If YOU know it ain't true, you shouldn't let it bother you at all. Let the asshole believe whatever he wants to.

B)Let the rumor die on its own. Trust me, if you try to "fix" things, they might get even worse.

I've been in a situation somewhat like that, it sux man. I have 2 Qs though:
1- Why didn't Ur friend give U heads up on this rumor?
2- Why do U think Ur ex-boss didn't ask for an explaination on all this?

Looking at the facts:
1- U'r his friend.
2- U never said anything negative about him, yet he immediatly bought this crap.
I think he is gay just for that (or U'r not telling everything).

well last night he went back to the place i used to work and dug up my records and got my phone number and pranked called me a LOT last night...

he has a gf and ive never even thought him to be gay... one time i even told Teresa the 2nd manager that a lot of people was saying he was gay and that he should know about it, and that was about 3 months ago... people has been saying they think hes gay before i even started working there...

No problem.But that's where you messed up at.She probably told him that you said that.I know you were trying to help but sometimes you have to let that person find out for themselves.Still though it's his problem that he beleived it.

Terresa was who i first expected but they swear up and down that it was a bunch of people that came in and said it... the whole thing sounds suspicious...

I told Terresa that if he wants to ask me about it to ask me face to face, not when im on the clock at work and cant do nothing... ill prolly go suprise him at work Monday...

What in the hell? I hate people that type ebonics. Its so unessicary and it seems like your trying to hard. And to everybody trying to sound all tough and saying he should "scrap" one of hes FRIENDS is not the way to go. If i fought my friends everytime they pissed me off or we got in a argument id have no good friends. Well ghaleon, my advice to you is sit down with him and talk it out. I'd be pretty ticket off if I thought one of my friends were talknig shit on me also. So just explain to him you had nothing to do about it. If your going to fuck anyone up, its the guys that started the rumor. Thats my 2 cents

First of all, SCRAP means to fight. SCRAPE means a wussy cut. Secondly Ghaleon said he was his friend. I get in arguments all the time with my friends. I never GET DOWN (i feel cool now) or DANCE with my buddies. But i guess that means I go out like a bitch. I wish I were a thug like you.
