sorry, I got disconnected as I was typing that... i knew that Green Lantern was part of the original JL... but i could've sworn that Hawkman and Hawkgirl were too

and yeah, i can understand you matching up each character to their parallel, I'm simply trying to give the SS a chance. Superman, Wonder woman, Green Lantern, maybe even Batman could all single-handedly... er, hand... Supreme Squandron their respective and collective asses

LOL I agree! Infact WW, Bats, and GL all won their matches as far as I'm concerned...the only one that differs from your list was the Hype/Sups fight. I still say that Hype can win that one. Only my Opinion. Infact...I think in my list MORE JLA members won matches over SS members. I guess JLA just owns! smile

Spider carnage was in fact in the comic book, as I said in a previous post, the carnage symbiote bonded to john Jameson after leaving Cletus Cassidy at the asylum then when spiderman (Ben Reilly) fought him the carnage symbiote transferred over to him, so spider carnage was in both the cartoon and the comic.

Alright, cool. Thanks for clearing that up. As for who can go toe to toe with Superman I still say that Vandal Savage would take him down, I mean, he did kill the Justice League in the show.

Someone asked what was Archangel's other name earlier. The only names he's used that I remember were Archangel, Avenging Angel, Death, Dark Angel and Angel.

I thought Death was another one of Apocalypse's Horsemen... you could be right though...

and if you count alternate realities, he was also The Fallen

You're right. Death was one of Apocalypse's Horsemen. When Apocalypse gave Angel the metal wings he was Death for about an issue or two. It would have been better if they kept Angel as Death for about a year or two so that his reurn to the X-Men/Factor would have been more memorable.

man, this thread got off topic (not that it's a bad thing) but someone should devote an entire thread to just comics... or just wait a while for the kick-ass, comic-site that's coming...

Just to add to that, further down the line, Wolverine became Death aswell. I believe the Hulk was War, but I don't know who Pestilance and Famine were the second time around.

Some of the more known characters that have been Horsemen are Hulk/War, Wolverine/Death, Caliban who has been both Death and Pestilence, Deathbird/Death and Ahab/Famine.

There's others, of course, but I can't remember them at the moment. They're not widely known characters but if anybody wants to know who they are, I'm sure I could get their names for you.

The Man-Thing vs. Bane: Man-Thing. I'm sure Bane fears at least something and if you know fear you burn at the touch of the Man-Thing.

Doomsday vs. the Hulk: Hulk. Bottom line.

The Flash vs. Nightcrawler: I've said it before and gave my reasons why I pick Flash.

Galactus vs. the JLA: Which version of the JLA are we talking about? I have to give this one to Galactus.

Onslaught vs. DC: Onslaught vs. an entire universe? lol DC wins.

Holocaust vs. Darkseid: Darkseid.

Killer Croc vs. Stegron: Killer Croc.

Halloween Jack vs. Scare Crow: Which Scarecrow? Either way I don't remember much about Halloween Jack except he was 2099's version of Loki. I guess I'll go with Scarecrow.

Sauron vs. Hawkgirl: As much as I like Sauron, Hawkgirl would hand him his butt.

ah ah ah, remember it took the entire Marvel universe to take Onslaught down and the only reason he was taken down is because the taint that caused his creation was reabsorbed into Magneto. Without that Onslaught could have and would have taken over the entire world. Now I am of the bias that the entire Marvel universe has more force within it then the entire DC universe and if Marvel ALMOST lost, what makes you think DC would come close to winning, especially considering Magneto (or Joseph as he was known after losing that taint within him) wouldn't be there?

Because someone in DC would find a way to take Onslaught out.

I couldn't really tell you. The whole Onslaught deal made me swear off Marvel for a few years.

lol

I don't know. Zatanna could probably beat him. I think a team of Captain Marvel, Superman, Martian Manhunter and Batman could possibly beat him too.
