Man I would love to have this game. One of my top for games to get this year. Gonna have to wait on it though and see how everything is with it though. Multiplayer looks to be a blast. I am also poor as hell, so money is an issue at the moment.

I would have pre-ordered it months ago, but I don't think I can afford it. As much as I want to play this game and get all the pre-order goodies, I just can't afford to sacrifice gas, food, electric, and college tuition at the moment. Damn necessities...
But I LOVED the first game and I'm eager to play the second. I'll get it... but I may have to wait (and hopefully the Collector's Editions will last).

I struggled to get through the first half of the game and lost interest. I purchased and sold it twice, aswell as deleted my file since.
I then grabbed the Greatest hits for $20 and kicked the s*** out of it. The second half of the game really opens up.
Currently (right now) about half way through on "Impossible" Difficulty. The last trophy I need for my 8th Platinum trophy.
pre-ordered Dead Space 2. can't wait.

I never had that problem Casselmann. I destroyed the game. It was sensational and I wish it had a difficulty harder than Impossible.
I have DS2 ordered. I have $16.62 left to pay on it so I'll possibly finish paying it off later today when they open and I get some sleep (4am right now).
Also I kind of have a question. I traded in games toward it at gamestop for the 25% credit bonus and I also used my friends Power up card for the extra 10%. My friend however leaves for Marine bootcamp on the 24th and since I used his card the game is in his name. The guy that checked me out knows I used my friends card.
Okay here is the queston. Since the name on the receipt isn't my own. Do you think they would let me get the game if they card me and notice I'm not Joel? Otherwise I'll be waiting 3 months to be able to do anything. His only form of contact with me will be hand written letters. I'm stressing pretty hard about it too. I wanna destroy this fucking game. I'll call them up after I wake up though and discuss the situation with them. Hopefully we won't have any issue since I do have the receipt I made the purchase with.

IGN REVIEW AND DESCRIPTION OF HARD CORE MODE!
IGN posted:
Survival horror has a new gold standard.
Dead Space 2 is an amazing game. I'm about write about its scary moments, cool kills, and how much I dig the internal struggle of the main character, but it's more than that. When I beat it for the first time, I sat on the couch with my heart racing and dissected the journey I had just taken. Then, I started my second playthrough, and when that was done, I jumped into a new game for the third time. Dead Space 2 is just that good.
...
Dead Space 2 is more than just an action game and it's more than a survival horror game -- it's a game that tells a really personal story about a guy who has been seriously scarred by the events around him. That premise alone makes it interesting, but Visceral Games melds it with rewarding combat, shocking enemies, and huge set pieces before tossing it into a world that's truly creepy and scary. I didn't find multiplayer that interesting and would've liked to have seen Isaac stop being an errand boy, but none of that spoils what you're getting here. The shocking moments, the gruesome deaths, and the fun of playing through this experience again and again are what I took away from this one.
Dead Space 2 is an excellent game, and it's well worth your time and money.

If you're truly devoted like myself, there's even a mode known as "Hardcore," and it's nothing less than sadistic. The enemies are at their toughest, the supplies are limited, there are no checkpoints, and if you die, you restart from your last save. Oh, and you can only save three times in the entire game. That's crazy talk, but damn, do I want to do it.
I only hope this mode is tougher than Master Ninja on Ninja Gaiden II F*cking PSYCHED!!!!! 3 DAYS LEFT BABY. BRING ON THE GORE!
I already know hardcore is gonna scare the shit out of me just because of how absolutely vulnerable you really are! HELL YEAH!

Exactly. I was certain I was going to pre-order, but never got around to it. I thought, eh, I'll just see how this game turns out first. The first game was amazing, and I'm hoping this sequel will live up to what the first one had, and that was suspense.

Hell ya man. I'm having my gf pick it up for me at blockbuster. I don't feel like getting up at 10am for when it opens plus i work nights.

I'll probably be going to sleep when Gamestop opens tomorrow. I spend all my nights working from the computer. I'm gonna have to switch that so I can play DS2 in the dark with headphones.

Isn't it obvious? Because Visceral tryna do it big!
Seriously though, I'm gonna guess this game is ridiculously long like Castlevania.
