Dreams and Future Goals

Hello, many of you know me as SubScorpTile, others as SST, BNC, or STD. I don't usually create threads, but since nobody on IRC cared for this topic, I figured what the hell I'll make a post about it and annoy some of the people on the board. And so I am All of those nicks and I have a dream. My dream is to one day host my own talk show called, The Tonight Show with SubScorpTile or Late Night with STD.

What are some of your dreams and goals if yuo would like to share them?

I wish to be the black guy band leader who possesses a chronic laugh on the Tonight Show with SST or Late Night with STD. I would laugh nonstop at every and any word that proceeded out of the mouth of SST. And then, I would brag about my large....uhhh....eco because I'm a black man.

1. Screenwriter
2. Actor
3. Graphic Designer/Web Designer (I need a job like an out of shape man looking for a workout needs Tae Bo!!)
4. Future ruler of Earth (Sucking up to me know is probably a good thing to do! I'm sure your children and your children's children will appreciate it. wink )

There are three things that I would love to do, and if I can do just one of them I can die happy.

They are...

1) Become a professional stage actor, and someday make it to Broadway.

2) Become a certified psychologist, and someday teach psychology or sociology at a university.

3) Become a (successful) screenwriter, and make a screen version of Mark Z. Danielewski's The House of Leaves.

I actually don't know what I want to do with my life. Right now I'm working at American Eagle Outfitters, and I really don't want to work my way up the AE corporate ladder.

Sometimes I think I'd like to be a musician. I'm finally starting to get this whole playing guitar thing and I write a lot of poems that I could put to music. Other times I think I'd like to be an actress. Then I think how cool it would be to be a fashion designer. I really don't know what I want to do.

#1. Acting school or some school of performing arts. Vocal training for strength and projection will be VERY important.

#2. Bloody marvelous. wink

#3. Download several screenplays off the net and learn the format that they are supposed to be writen in. Also, reading them might help you in adapting the story. There's a book that offers great advice on writing screenplays, but I can't think of the name. If it comes to me, I'll tell you what it's called.

This is the tricky part...those are three ridiculously different paths, and the odds of me doing even more than one successfully are like, nothing. I'm wary of enrolling in a performing arts school because of the incredible failure rate of those who try to make it big in showbusiness...yeah. Look at me, all young and full of ideas. lol...
