I agree with you. I'm not happy how they're not having Leon Kennedy in any of them becuase he's Jill's dead partner... you know I was kinda hoping that he made somewhat of an appearance.
Though yet again, Mortal Kombat I feel has been the only move that actually stuck with the game's story. I mean, I've never really seen Silent Hill so I have no clue how that was... Street Fighter, ahem... Doom was al utlimate failure right from the start... I mean what other game movies that stuck with the story? Tron? I only saw parts of that so I can't say anything but seriously. Ugh.

I just watched Zack and Miri Make a Porno.
That's probably the only movie I can actually stand Seth Rogen in.
Movie was hilarious and disturbing at some parts.
I'm not a fan of the rest.

Reminds me of when I watched The Royal Tenenbaums and realized Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson can actually be in a fantastic movie together.

I really don't like fanboys/fangirls. Not normal fans, but people who pretty much mindlessly defend any series/media/idea/what have you to death, despite obvious shortcomings.
I had a run-in with FFVII fanboys last night who thought Sephiroth was the greatest villain EVAR and thought all other FF games were garbage. Nevermind that only half of these morons ever played another FF title.
But no, a veteran of the series like myself can't defile the sanctity that is FFVII and must surely concur that it's the best RPG in video gaming history!
Mature fans can handle and try to understand critical analysis (*not* outright bashing) of the object of their desire. But people always gotta factor their ego into the equation.

The only Final Fantasy I've played is IV, and I think it's pretty fantastic.
