Why can't Macs do this? Every time I "right click" and use the "Download file as..." no matter what extension I use, it never changes the filetype. Annoying as fuck, to say the least.

You're right, I too use a Mac and don't think it's soooo great. I mean, it does have less crashes, but some functions are just not very organic as how to find them... and I like my shortcuts to be with control, not the apple, it's easier to reach.
