Organic Chemistry was the most demanding class I've ever taken in my time as an undergrad. Though it might be a C, I'm damn proud of it. Especially considering so many other classmates who weren't so lucky.

Of course I got some, but unfortunately it wasn't the best. I am pretty sure I've developed an allergy to something in lube, latex, or spermacides.

But for the business school I already applied to, there are six core classes that are very important.

Calculus - A
Computer Applications for Business - A
Microeconomics - A
Probability and Statistics for Business - B+
Macroeconomics - which I fucked up with a C+
Financial Accounting - which I am pretty sure I fucked up ...

Well the final for Financial Accounting is worth 40% of the grade and I was on the C+/B range, and I really think I did poorly on the final, everyone in the class does. The final kicked our asses. To be an accounting major you have to get a B in Financial Accounting, and if I don't accomplish this, the business school application which I sent in only gave us one option for a major this year instead of the usual three, and I chose accounting, so if I don't get a B in that class I'm already out. On top of this, to be safe you need about a 3.7 GPA to get into the business school, and I was comfortable at a 3.73, but this semester might bring me down to a 3.63 or worse. So unless I'm being melodramatic, there goes my major, my career, and my ability to have safe sex. Blah! The grades should be up by Tuesday, sigh.

The final exam being 40% of your grade is absolutely ridiculous. So you could go from a B+/A- to a C just if you do badly on the final. That's messed up. You just made me really grateful that my school has a requirement that the final can't be more than 25% percent of your grade.

But are these requirements you mentioned absolute? Surely there must be some degree of flexibility, especially given your superior performance in other areas. One small shortcoming shouldn't ruin everything.

Wtf? 40% would be brilliant! At my uni, i had one exam worth 65% of my final grade! The least important one was 50% lol. One week had like 240% of my final grade or something fml.

As I said, I hope I'm just being melodramatic. But I'll find out whether or not I get into the business school by March 15th, I'll find out if I'll be allowed to do my major this Monday or Tuesday. I don't know, I'm a pessimist so I keep myself optimistic by not setting myself up for disappointment with positive thoughts that don't work out. Also, your university has a 25% final exam maximum? That's amazing, because I've had friends in classes where the final exam was 100% of their grade. I've had a handful of classes that were 50% midterm and 50% final.

I want to hug someone. Not because I need one, because I want to give one. They're so warm. An embrace of security.

what exactly is Afromusicology?

The study of African culture as it evolves through music from the work songs of Africa up to the hip hop of today. It fulfilled two requirements to graduate, and I loved to just tell people I was in 'Afromusicology' haha.

Anyways, Christmas Eve festivities at my house just ended. Two of my cousins who are both 15 are both 5'8. It looks like I'm going to be the shortest guy in my family (excluding my father). Why couldn't he get the tall genes like everyone else? Even the women at 6 ft tall. Blah.

Recent Accomplishments:

1) Passing all classes and owning political science final. Pwn.
2) Being sober for 10 days. Yay.
3) Making a college basketball player cry like a girl. Lame.
4) Not killing my sister-in-law. Awesome.
5) Not chopping my fingers off while cooking Xmas dinner. Win.

December is great.

Unfortunately it seems an all too large population of people have become desensitized in regards to rape and sexual assault. They have no idea what rape really is and what it does to people who have been victims of it.

That's a shame. Really it is... I mean, I've been a victim of sexual assault before and it's just disgusting that someone would be so fascinated to actually discuss about it... And really, I'm not trying to target anyone, really, if I wanted to, I would call that name out, but I'm a respectful person, so I'm not going to go there...

Though, it's just a shame that they don't know what kind of thing rape is like.

It's one thing to talk about killing people on this site, after all, this site is dedicated to a game that does so, but there's a big difference and I for one just think that is completely disgusting for anyone who wants to have a mature conversation about rape.
