Someone has been trying to get into my account on MKO. Second time in a long while. Probably some stupid user I banned a while ago, or who had some old beef with me. Makes me wonder if it's linked to some guy named Josh Miller.

Yeah, cause yesterday was the first day my bf was gonna start training me since I can no longer do track (to make a long story short, medical trainers at my university are complete dicks). He wanted me to squat only 45 pounds.

And yes, to everyone 45 pounds seem like it's fairly easy... I'm a twig who only weighs 105 pounds, 45 to me is super heavy.

Despite I got a little carried away, argued that I can't do it, he convinced me, despite that I didn't want to whatsoever and just did it to shut him up, by the time I realized I benched a 45-er. Then added 2 5-pounders, then another... I just benched 65 pounds.

I dead lift 55, and 245 for leg presses. (Despite I have twigs for arms, I'm all legs, nothing but legs.)

So I DID IT!

Yes, I did buy Left 4 Dead in this backwater country (not Guam). Computing the exchage rate, I bought for like $3. Installation was succesful and this game is AWESOME! And yes I just found out there was a sequel. But seriously, I wanna play online. Can I use someone's activation code?

Yeah, I saw that. Sad, isn't it? But such is the risk in an activity like that.

Whether you intended to or not, that came off as really insensitive. The man was representing his country on one of the greatest stages the world has to offer, and if anything he died because they didn't think to pad the poles that he struck beforehand. Would he have survived if they were padded? We'll never know, but to dismiss this as "oh, the activity is high risk" isn't really fair to the man. Tell that to a soldier and see what happens.

The luge is a risky activity. You're going down on your back at very high speeds. They put in all the safeguards they can, but accidents can and do happen. It's sad that the guy died, sure, but what are you gonna do? Maybe it's just me, but the possibility of death or serious injury would definitely be in the back of my mind if I were a competitor in such an event. Whenever you elect into something, you elect into the risks inherent in it. It is what it is.

It truly is both tragic, yet somehow expected with eventuality.

It's like people receiving serious head/spine injuries playing football. Yes, it is a sad situation, but the truth of the matter is these are very real risks they are voluntarily taking, not unlike something as trivial as driving a car...

You never expect tragedy, but it does happen.
