Poor Kenshi getting beaten by Rain. Where did all these Rain fans come from?

Like there was ever any chance of getting a Kenshi figurine instead of a Rain one.... *pouts*

And as for where all these Rain fans have come from, I honestly have no idea. Their goal is to bombard us, until everyone has Rain sigs and avatars.

I think their plan has been largely successful.

Two words: Band, Wagon.

I remember back to a time when the roster of this gane was for the most part still about 40% away from being fully revealed. There where like 5 active members who I can remember off the top of my head who in any way shape or form liked Rain or stood up for him, myself included. We'd get insulted if we stood up for him or wondered when he'd be released by fans who looked down on him as a joke. He was considered by many to be another Rainbow ninja with nothing else going on for him bar his last ditch effort at a revamp in MK:A.

A few months later, the roster gets leaked, and there's no Rain. Gradually, more people request him to complete the roster as DLC, but his fanbase only grew marginally as many of his supporters only wanted him on the grounds he was excluded in the first place. Very few of the people asking for him actually gave a shit about the character at all, they just wanted him for completions sake.

Now they've revamped his image, move set and history, and all of a sudden the site's flooded with Rain fans. Out of nowhere his fanbase has inflated on a major scale. As a Rain fan myself, I'm torn. I'm happy he's been given another chance and has totally outshined most of the cast in regards to gameplay and design, but also growing slightly weary at *how* popular he's become so soon. Too much of anything can make you sick to the teeth and as it is I'm seeing him constantly as of late before even downloading him, I don't want it to be the case it puts me off him completely.

I haven't jumped on the band wagon. I admit he looks good but I'm already tired of him. To me he's like what happened with scorpion at first. He was overplayed to many people talked about him and a general dislike came about. Thats how I feel for Rain now.

Honestly there are to many Rain sigs and avatars thats how I tell who people are. Now I'm totally confused. I remember when people had originality. There's only a few cool sigs now. And most of the people who have them post here.

Oh the days where you could tell who someone is by an avatar or sig that had originality. I miss those days too. Now I have to read the name because everyone always changes their sig to the latest character that is being released for DLC. It's sad to be honest.

@ Ninjasrock the thing you said about dlc is so true. People jump on the wagon extremely fast. Not many people exactly liked Kenshi. He comes out everybody flipped shit. Ermac clone no more!! He was never a clone anyway.



On more of a general discussion note. I think I should move on from this chick but it's a lot harder than I thought it would be. Mostly cause I see her every week and she's all over me when I see her. Than we text and nada. I don't understand.
