But they are different games. I seriously hope you don't think of MK3 and MK Trilogy as the same game. Even story wise, they are different titles. Look at Capcom. They recognize the difference between SF2 and SSF2 Turbo, going so far as to release collections that include the separate games because the fans have preferences over the different titles. It's like saying there have been only 4 Capcom SF fighting games.

updates
This ordinal number issue has been thoroughly turned over last year. The rest are updates or strongly base on an earlier game (MKTE). Mortal Kombat Trilogy differs from these nine other installations by the fact that it doesn't bring any new grand threat or big issue to the table and it would be irrational to count it as Mortal Kombat 4 when there is a separate game with the same name. We could bring more factors in as well, but I hope this implies the necessary information.
Either way, it gives us more than 9 MK fighting games. What it boils down to is...if there are more MK fighting games than MK1-4, DA,D,A, vs. DC, and MK9, then there are more than 9 MK fighting games. The existence of these separately marketed/sold "updates/ports" as you call them is proof there are more than these 9. That's all I'm arguing.

It does, because, by definition, MK3 differs from MK 3.5...unless you think they are the same. Is it the same, or different? Is MK3 the same as Trilogy, or is it different? Logic dictates that it can't be both.
No problem, man. I just wanted to see if there would be any proper holes in the ordinal number system that you would bring up and in the same time enlighten you with how it works, as you wondered about it.
P.S. Alice In Chains is currently developing a new album. The newest album, Black Gives Way to Blue, with the new singer worked pretty well, so I'm happy that there will be new production. According to my radio.

Amen.
Everytime I hear "new" AIC I always change the station because it just doesn't feel right, also all their lastest singles have been played on the radio a million times.....annoying.
Layne Staley was remarkable, may he rest in peace, but the current composition makes a good band as well. Sort of like a new band that sounds surprisingly much like AIC and even carries the same name but develops (good) music of its own. I can understand if one doesn't like the new AIC though, it differs notably and Layne Staley was no ordinary singer.
Coincidence or not but I had just listened to Down in a Hole and Them Bones, along with Would? and a few others from Alice In Chains. At the moment I'm listening to Mastodon - Stargasm (turned radio off after commemorating AlC a little). It's another spectacular band by the way.
Can you find Them Bones from Dry Bone Valley? Creature Lives.

So I get told by my mom that they're closing down Test Track in Disney World and remodeling it.
They're partnering up with I believe Chevy and working on the ride until the end of this year.
I didn't realize it was already 13 years old that ride. Good thing it was still open when I went.
