But I'm tired of listening to "oh that's racist," bullshit. Forget the racism part, I'm taking into consideration of other things that doesn't make sense if racism wasn't contributing into this. the case from a pure legal standpoint comes down to Florida's stand your ground law. We have that where I live as well.
Zimmerman followed the boy, this is not illegal. It's retarded at best and extremely suspicious at worst. problem is we don't have any hardcore data as to what the boy did while screaming "help" before the shot was fired. Logically one can draw a good idea, but legally we don't have enough evidence. A lot of people equate the law saying you don't have to run away before using lethal force as an excuse to murder people but it isn't. People should feel secure in their person even when under attack. Things like this however, don't help the rest of us gun owners.
People like Zimmerman make it all that much harder for law abiding people to defend themselves as people afraid of firearms do all they can to keep weapons out of everyone's hands.
