If you haven't noticed lately, any time I ask a question, that question gets turned where two users who greatly has an issue with me needs to constantly shun things down and turn it into a mockery session.

At least now I know, 1 out of 5 people answered it correctly, and 1 out of 5 have a hard time admitting they're wrong.

Guys, you're all getting distracted, the real focus isn't on the number of protons/electrons, what we should really be debating here is the meaning of the word "and".

No, what is hilarious is that you and a few others can't accept that you're wrong and understand that the answer isn't asking you to add anything up. They are asking you to find the answer of both protons and electrons, which both are six. Nothing is asking you to add anything up, and if you're that choked up about the wording of the problem, then oh well, this isn't an English problem, this is a chemistry problem, conceptual chemistry, which is the easiest type of class you can take for that. The problem doesn't need to ask "electrons or protons," they're asking you to find both, the atomic number is the same as the amount of protons in it. The number of electrons have to be the same as the amount of protons in the element, otherwise there is no other balance whatsoever. Therefore, in order to answer the question, one must realize, "hey, protons share the same number as the atomic number, and the electrons share the same number of the protons, which share the same number as the atomic number, oh so that's the answer."

How is it that no one can see that is beyond me, one user got it right and stated it correctly. I don't understand why you and Erik have a hard time accepting that I am smart. You two are the only ones that have an issue with me and I don't get why that is. You two guys make a big deal out of the simplest of things. I mean, just look at the cannibal joke. No, because the answer is not twelve, it is six. Again, no one is asking you to add anything, it's a simple look at the question and answer it since the answer is IN the problem.
