Yep, he even shuts his trap during cutscenes. I think I've found my new favorite LP'er not named CyberShell (the guy who does all the old school Sonic games).

Commentate when appropriate and shuts up on cutscenes. People like that get fans.

Most Let's Plays are completely awful. Tips for anyone making a Let's Play:

1. Don't yell. You don't know how to set mic levels and your mic is shit and nobody wants to listen to that.
2. You're not funny. Because yelling doesn't automatically make things funny.

If you can avoid yelling and forcing humour, you'll be better than 80% of the crap on Youtube. If you're not quick witted and naturally hilarious, try a different approach. It doesn't need to be funny.

I was interested in trying, but I didn't know how to make anything worth watching, and I'm awful at live commentary so I quickly abandoned that idea. Perhaps something scripted and pre-recorded would be better for me. I have an urge to attempt game review videos, but I'm not sure how far that will go. I'd have to actually finish a game for once.

When I started to do my FF1 LP, I played the game first, then did the voice over while I was watching my own gameplay, so that I didn't have to think of things on the spot while gaming.

I put Rain and Scorpion against each other in the Inferno Match in Smackdown vs Raw.

Scorpion got his ass seriously kicked. lol

My favourite "Lets Play" videos are the shakey phone videos filming the TV in a dark room while some little kid yells racial/sexual slurs at the game characters. Yeah, it's awesome. I especially like it when they fall silent every now and then while they ritualistically go through totally unnecessary habits they've developed in the games. Oh, oh! And extra points if they giggle about how stupid something is because they clearly just don't know what the reference is. That's always great. A bit like checking out the Drive By thread, but with video. w00000000

i'm having trouble in my wwe wrestlemania x8 on gamecube. if anyone can give me any tips to beat the royal rumble i'd appreciate it. i get far than i get eliminated. i have it on easy and i still have problems. i'm trying to unlock royal rumble 2001 arena. i can't change the order i have to last the entire match.

It's been winter for three days and I really wanted more than an inch before today came.

The weather is certainly not acting like it should be by now, and I'm really disappointed that I can't just jump in the untouched snow and laugh at the design I made by my footprints.

No, instead, I have to look at dead grass and rain puddles. I love the rain, but around this time, I expect snowflakes not raindrops that keeps falling on my head.
