Amen! It's snowing again here and it's expected to snow non-stop until Monday! F*CK! Also, another reason why I don't like winter- night falls down way too quickly- depressing!

Haha! Well, they actually do have some promising youngsters on the women's tour- Laura Robson and Heather Watson primarily.
I'll have to get up around 5 am tonight/tomorrow morning as Donna is playing a third match starting from 1 am my time. She's on Highsense Arena, big crowd, hopefully she deals well with it.
In other news: few days ago Croatian jury has chosen a song for ESC2013 (title is not promising lol). Next step is choosing the artist. I really dislike this method that they started using in the recent years, but I guess it helps save money in these hard economical times.
LOL @ the edits here btw.

That's probably about people not responding to their posts in General, as much as anything.
I think we all want to see more activity on the forums and should be focusing on backing that up, but at the end of the day, it's important to recognise that MKO still has the largest global readership of any dedicated MK site. Our position has slipped a bit US-specific, but the world is still ours, and we've still got the pedigree of having done this for fourteen years.
We've made efforts this year to properly acknowledge and support the growth of Mortal Kombat in the competitive tournament scene. It's been nice to see that we did get a nod here and there for our efforts, particularly with our more formal approach to coverage (which was perhaps imitated a bit, earlier in the year), which I think is much more fruitful for everyone than undercutting the site's actual position.
We're gonna try to continue to support the tournament scene into 2013, but I personally think it's a bit of a shame the FGC hasn't done more to embrace us back. There's a lot of talk about building a better, more successful and strong industry and community, but it remains a very disorganized and insular group. I think we represent a broader perspective and hopefully we can all rally behind that.
Those guys are posting on the General forum for their livechats. Maybe you let them know we're all here by checking it out and posting something. Support them and let them know we want their support, too. Then check out all the other news and posts going on around the forum and back that MKOmmunity up.

Yes. I honestly agree with you, I told them we've been trying to support the tourney scene but yet almost no one posts about it other then the few regulars. Dink also said he will be visiting sometime soon maybe? I don't know, but I honestly think that show is doing good by getting all these MK actors, producers etc on there, it's great for the community to know about the past and the present of MK. I'm glad he does take the time to post it here aswell, even though doesn't get much of a response, hopefully people will start to check it out, and i'll work on getting it out there.

You are quite welcome. Toy around with any color that comes into mind, it's more fun that way.
I also saw the most failed commercial. I don't remember what it was about because I was more intrigued about how they were trying to blur out the Chicago Bulls logo on this woman's shirt. So then they decide that they're going to place all these logos over her shirt, which didn't cover the Bulls logo well enough. If you're going to wear a jersey that requires you to blur out things in a commercial, wear something that doesn't need to be blurred out. Haha, fail.

Yeah, again, Thanx. Also, what colors are you limited to? ROYGBIV?
I want to try out stuff like red-orange and grapevine, but will they work?

Somewhat, I found that you can use the colors that you can use in Word and such to be workable.
Some colors might turn your lettering black or random colors if you didn't spell the word correctly, or that it doesn't exist as a preferred color to use.
Kinda wished there was a list of colors in the FAQ just in case someone does have an interest in using colored text like some people are on this site.

I know these days HTML isn't quite common knowledge, but this makes me think of how underrated our forum can be. Sure, a lot of forums have the basic UBB-style features (which usually features colors), but because our forum is owned and created by us, we've been able to have a lot of fun HTML features. Even silly little stuff like the scrolling sigs people do and such. If your first thought was to think 'big deal, UBB does colored text,' that's probably a point to dwell on. The inputs aren't much different.
Colored text is swell, but like anything, it's at its best when there's a point and it's used in moderation. Using it for highlights or a colourful sig is cool. In a visual written medium, a giant block of blue or green text is probably the equivalent of a silly clown voice.
Just a thought.
As you might imagine, it's not something we'd want to encourage.
A lot of people don't enjoy a multi-coloured spew running down a page, particularly with the different layout options. There are a lot of other ways to express individuality (sigs, avatars) without breaking the uniformity of the forum and the presumed credibility of your posts.
sikk of uggly silly font shovd down my throt your band

It was the point some people missed in the disappointingly derailed MKO End of Year Awards thread.
A lot of people agree we need to recapture the strong, diverse community MKO was always known for. What's missing from that revelation is the fact that each and every person here is the solution. I can't do it, my presence is taken for granted and I've got other obligations. When peeps are reading a thread, they've just got to take that interest and remember the reply button. When something new comes to mind, there's the start new post option. We remember that, we'll be on our way.

I follow Eurovision on twitter. Every time another nation begins selections or picks their winner the hype grows. Euphoria~! Edit: Maybe it's time to take my own advice, tag team MKO with Eurovision glory.
