The five animals that comprise Cheng Dao are Dragon (ficticious animal I know) Tiger, Leopard, Snake, and Crane....though they are supplimented with monkey, Mantis and ocasionaly eagle claw as well. They are more than just stances, they are actualy styles that mimick animal movements.

The dragon, the tiger,t the leopard, the snake and tha crane.... I must admit I like the crane the most because of its graceful fighting style and all the kicks that come with it !!

The wolf represents endurance and intelligence (since they hunt in packs), the grizzly bear represents power and determination, the hedgehog represents the part of bizarrery that resides in every one of us by being so unique (I, for my part, like turkeys, so that gives you a hint..), the elephant is a living fossile, a miracle of nature with tremendous strength and might, and still, it has great intelligence ans is very surprising among mammals... that that gives you depth in your animal choices) and finally... the zebra. How can you not love that bitch of a zebra.
I once saw a zebra female kick to death a lioness and since then, I knew zebras (and every equids) got THAT determination to kill anyone in their path that was going to eat their babies..
