Love this stuff. How is that effect created, the wild sounds that sound like lightsabers on steriods. I gotta know what that is.

I checked out most of those links but I am just quoting this part because I find Datsik to have Extremely weak drops. like I was really upset when I listened to "Nuke Em" For the first time.
Cookie Monsta on the other hand is pretty good. I will post the people I listen to later. Gotta go get food now so yea...

I found this song a few days back and I've been listening to it nonstop.

DJ Fresh, Skism, Flux Pavillion, Skrillex, Doctor P and Ephixa are among the many dubstep artists that crowd my iTunes. Dubstep FTW

IF somebody starts dubstepping 80's metal I will be in love.

As do I.
Fact of the day: Dubstep was "invented" when retarded DJ's played records at the wrong speed, not realising they are even doing it, and some drunk people decided they like the ensuing noise.

That maybe true. But Dubstep is more then just Spinning Records. There things such as Sound efex and what not to be made through PC. So I'm not saying what your saying isn't true. But Dubstep takes skill to make no matter how a record is being spun.

I was never one for dubstep; the first time I ever heard it was with that Skrillex song for Reptile. It sounded like mish-mash of different sound effects with a couple of nods back to the original games with character screams and announcements. Definitely not to my taste, but that's just me.

Most music is invented by retarded and drunk people. I bet most of them were high too... so I don't see your point.

I see you're broadening your horizons. Good on you.
I hate dubstep. To me it just seems like a bunch of crap mashed together with no thought put into it. It also is just another thing that the "cool" kids are into these days. To me, bass used to mean one of two things. 1. An intsrument used in rock music and such to compliment the other instruments or 2. a term to describe a rhythem that was composed in a beat to compliment and ephasize parts of the beat. Then you actually had to develop a meaningful rap or song to go with the beat or visa versa. (and im not talking about todays shitty rap either, I'm talking old school rap). Besides that fact, I have two very nice 12' subwoofers in my car and when normal bass comes out it sounds fantastic and booms for blocks. When you play a dubstep song, it sounds like a robotic cat humping my speakers, its not very nice. I completely respect that you guys like dubstep, but imo its just is not for me. I will stick to rock and old rap.

Funny, I felt like that about hiphop and rap not so many years ago. Really not my kind of thing... But I don't go on a forum and talk trash about it. Some people like one kind of music, others like other kind of music... No need to be shitty about it.

Sorry if I sounded like I came off a little harsh but I think you mistook what I was saying. I'm totally ok with people liking different music and was not judging anyone for liking it. I'm not that kind of person. I'm pretty sure that I even said I respect that you guys like it in my first post. And when I said rap, I did not mean like rap made a few years ago, I meant like several years ago when it was first being created in the late 80's and 90's and a little bit into the early 00's but not much. And thats cool if you dont like it, I'm not dissing your opinion. I was just simply stating mine on dubstep before. So if I sounded like a shitty asshole before, my apologies.
And thanks [Killswitch].

I agree with you 100%. Up to about a few months ago no one ever really mentioned dubstep around here where I live. Suddenly I woke up one morning and everyone I know is talking about dubstep. I then go online and every website is talking about it too, from forums at IGN, GameSpot, etc all you see is everyone saying that they love dubstep. I've got a wide taste in music, I'll listen to anything from Metalcore, Deathcore, Grindcore, Technical Death, Progressive, Jazz, Alternative, Terror EBM, Aggrotech, Melodic Death, and some Hip-Hop, but I can't understand the sudden craze that dubstep has. If I want any form of music that is mostly electronically produced, I'll throw on something loud, hard, fast and in your face, stuff like Dawn of Ashes, or Aesthetic Perfection or The Berzerker, these kinds of bands are sick at making electronic music, and I've been listening to Terror EBM and Aggrotech for years now. So, I guess to each their own, I don't understand the sudden surge in popularity it has, but I have nothing against people liking it, I just can't understand how and why it became so popular so quickly. Oh well, I guess I don't really need to know or don't really care. I'll just listen to the music I like and let people listen to what they like and the world will keep spinning without even noticing.I hate dubstep. To me it just seems like a bunch of crap mashed together with no thought put into it. It also is just another thing that the "cool" kids are into these days. To me, bass used to mean one of two things. .

Not to be a hipster but as awesome and amazing as dubstep still is, it seemed somewhat better when little people listened to it.

^ This.
I'm no hipster either, but I enjoyed listening to Skrillex and deadmau5 considerably more when I wasn't surrounded by people talking about it.
I still have my BT though >:D
