Sick trailer, you know i thought the transformation was kind of weak but after seeing this i am corrected. I'll be looking foward to Twisted Metal, Battlefield 3, and im getting my hopes up when i say Bioshock Inifinite.

I'm actively watching for Ghost Recon Future Soldier and to see just how fucked up Ubisoft made the game...and how much they've decided to dumb it down for the casual crowd.

i'll porbably watch it on playstation hoime or if they vamp the stage again like they did last year go to that

I watched Microsoft's press briefing earlier. I'm kind of torn between how much MS is pushing kinect. On 1 hand mainstream titles don't seem to be incorporating it well enough (Fable: The Journey), while the more novel uses are actually pretty exciting (Kinect Fun labs). The fun Labs is actually up already on the 360, but the 3d image manipulation (Kinect Sparkler), and kinect avatar aren't live yet.

Ninja Gaiden 3 baby! story / gameplay trailer released today, I am now psyched about it after having my fears of Itagaki leaving and Hayashi the new leader turning this into a fairy tale that was Sigma 2. Glad it's back to it's blood quenching roots.

Skyrim - looking fantastic, very interesting
Halo 4 - yay another trilogy..
Ghost Recon Future Soldier - nice
Arkham City - definitely a day 1 buy
Darkness II - loving it

Still waiting on Bioshock Infinite. MW3 looks ok, but same old MW stuff.

No Metal Gear Solid Rising this year, WTF? been waiting on this game for 2 years already. Worst game to follow ever.

I was a little upset that their won’t be any news on Metal Gear Rising... But what can you do? I am excited however for that Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. Again though, I wonder why the first Metal Gear Solid isn’t involved with this HD Collection. Oh well the chance to play Sons of Liberty and Snake Eater and Peace Walker in HD is just awesome. And this Transfarring thing sounds pretty cool also.

Hayashi may be just as big of a chode as Itagaki, but sans the talent.

Hope QTEs aren't a big part of the game.

I love Rayman. That one looks great. I didn't care about the last one, with the Rabbits. However, this one looks great.

At this point I don't know what amount of dread I should hold for what Soul Calibur 5 will have in terms of "exclusives"

Thoughts so far:

Microsoft - Verdict: C
I don't like the Kinect, so I admit outright bias. I'm not going to buy one. I have no interest in buying on. I don't believe Kinect will largely "improve" my experiences with Mass Effect or Fable (and may ultimately detract from the core game). And yet they pushed Kinect HARD. I can list the games that don't use Kinect on one hand. In a way, it's good they're supporting it; on the other, I would prefer their focus generated more towards regaining system-selling exclusives and developing new IPs. Halo 4 was the big reveal... but the announcement of a new Halo is hardly as memorable when we've had a Halo game every year for awhile now. It's like being excited for a new Call of Duty. There's one every year.

Sony - Verdict: C+
If Microsoft was about the Kinect, Sony was about the Move and 3D, going on endless about their drive for 3D in every home. Thing is, I'm not going to buy a new TV any time soon. Most people aren't. Which means their advertisement for 3D is limited to less than 1% of the people at the conference. 3D is a gimmick, as are motion controls, and any time they mentioned it, whether it was for Bioshock Infinite or Little Big Planet, it didn't feel like it would improve the game in any way whatsoever other than justifying to Sony that it should support it simply because it exists. On the other hand, the Vita was a nice surprise, but I'm laughing hysterically at the price; not because the price is unfair (to Americans), but because the price is totally unfair to everyone else. $250 is not the same as 250 pounds or 2500 yen. 250 U.S. dollars = 152.905199 British pounds. They get ripped off big time.

Also of note:
Battlefield 3 impressed me. I'm rooting for it against MW3 now; very impressive graphics, gameplay, and evolution.

Mass Effect 3 looks great.

Tomb Raider looks really good.

Shocked by the conference no-shows (no Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, God of War, Metal Gear, Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, etc.)

I hate, HATE Cole showing up in Capcom x Namco (he is neither Capcom NOR Namco... why the HELL is he in the game? We have a crossover in our crossover game!) Why must every fighting game do this? It's terrible.

We'll see how Nintendo fares tomorrow. So far, they've been decent, but I'm very unimpressed.
