I never understood the meaning of that picture in Boon's twitter.

It's either one of two things: 1) animalities are back in MK(9), or 2) he just loves dogs.

It's a pun, Ssince this is the ninth MK (MK9) and another word for dog is "canine". Saying MK9 sounds just like saying "M-Canine".
