It's either an edited version of Soul Calibur or someone fooled around in photoshop and created a fake of the Soul Calibur character select screen. No this game isn't for any of those systems it's only for Sega Dreamcast...and this is apparently Mame so this would be the arcade version.

I took this screenshot myself from the emulator, it's real, though the actual game itself might not be official. I'm betting it's a hack that someone mistook for an official version when they added it to MAME .80

The romset I had failed it's audit when I upgraded to .80, and it's probably because they used this hacked version as the parent rom (which they're likely to get chewed out for), that edited files caused the audit failure, making me download it again (don't ask me where, I'm not telling). And this is what I saw. That shot, I'm telling you, is real).

Nah bro I think he means just plain Soul Calibur. There are 3 of the "Soul" games methinks (Soul Edge, Soul Calibur 1 and 2). Oh yeah, also, this isn't a game you can just buy that TPB is talking about, this is an edited version of SC.

Someone has shown me THIS, and it basically says that the UK version of Soul Calibur was changed to be this way, for what God-only-knows reason. And it'll probably stick like this for a while in MAME (if not permanent), since MAME has a tendency to use UK / European versions as the main (parent) romset for other versions to base itself on (Darkstalers, Marvel Super Heroes, among several others use the UK version as the parent).

Because the rules say we can, just like they have for several months now since Jonin gave the green light to it. You still can't ask for or give out roms.

That is legit. It's for Korea. Koreans do not like samurai because of their history and so Mits is censored like that. Also Hwang is on the default roster because he is Korean.

Namco did something simular with Tekken 2, where you can make Baek(who's Korean) a default character instead of Jun.

That's pretty interesting.
