What is your favorite serial killer movie, which involves probably alot of gore. It can be a trilogy too.

For me it's no doubt the Halloween series, Micheal Myers is the only slash star to scare me. His mask compliments him, as he is cold and emotionless, and his movies don't go too over the top, and have a sense of realism.

Yours?

Halloween, but only the first one. In the sequels you know what to expect.

Single Flick: Nightmare on Elm Street 3 (best one of the entire series).

Saga: Nightmare on Elm Street. I've always been a Freddy fan.

Friday the 13th
Friday the 13th is the best slasher flick but no way near as gory as the Hellraiser series and as scary.

I guess Predator could be Sci-fi horror type. So it'll qualify.

I think my favorite slasher flick was the very first Nightmare on Elm Street. Freddy Kruger scared the living crap out of me when I first saw it. The thought of someone killing you through your dreams can really mess a person up. It can make a person not want to sleep for a while.

Right here bro, lol.

I just couldnt resist clicking this thread. Every horror thread grabs my attention immediately.

Anyways i've got dozens of favourite flicks, its almost impossible for me to choose just one.

My top 2 are definately Halloween and Friday The 13th. Best fuckin scenes in those movies ever IMO. Halloween for the scary, cold, and frightening scenes, and Friday The 13th for the gory, gruesome and horrific scenes. You also cant forget the pop-up scares, i LOVE those.grin

Jason R0x0rz t3h b0x0rz 4nd s0x0rz. I'm obsessed with his mask. His movies have the best kills ever. Kudos to his mother from the original Friday..........she PWNZ all!

Damn.....to be honest i like tons of other horror movie flicks just as much as Halloween and Friday The 13th. I've just got to mention A Nightmare On Elm Street, Hellraiser, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. IMO Hellraiser is one of the best horror movies ever created. The most terrifying kills that give me t3h chillz0rz. Chatterer Rules, my favourite Cenobite.

I dunno if this qualifies, but, the one that actually manages to creep me out is Identity.
First time I saw it, it finished probably around midnight, and I had to get the cats in. So after it's over, Mom's asleep, it's cold and foggy outside, and the only light I really have is the porchlight, and I'm standing on the stoop all by myself calling out to my cats, and I can't stop looking around the corners of the house to make sure no serial killer's out to get me. XD

Very few movies do that to me. ^_^

Personally, I think slasher films are fuckin' retarded. I don't understand why a person would enjoy being scared. Masochism, perhaps ?
A movie that actually succeeded in scaring me was The Blair Witch Project. At first, I thought it sucked but it actually succeeded in perveying a sense of terror. You have no idea what the Hell is after those people or what it looks like and you just keep asking yourself "Is it a hoax or does it actually exist ?". It's not really the imagery that's frightening but the atmosphere.

Dark_Noob, you are my new god! Chatterer is my all-time, fav horror character. (Spoilers ahead) I came close to tears when he bit the dust in Hellbound. Oh well, at least he's back in Deader and Hellworld (even though he looks like he gained a bit of weight).

As for fav, I'd have to say:

1. Nightmare on Elm Street: I am only talking about Freddy vs. Jason, the original, and Wes Craven's New Nightmare, where Freddy was actually scary. I think New Nightmare is one of the scariest movies I've ever watched.

2. Friday the 13th: It never ceases to amaze me how Jason can chop up teens so efficiently.

3. Texas Chainsaw Massacre: One of my personal faves. I liked it, even though I cared more about the cannibals than the teens (they were beyond one dimensional).

4. Hellraiser: I would have put this at the top, except Hellraiser was never meant to be a slasher franchise. The 1st and 2nd are the only true Hellraisers in my opinion. Dimension just converted them into slashers because of the almighty doller. At least they seem to be on the right track with Deader (Damn you Dimension, RELEASE IT!!!).

5. Halloween: I don't know why I don't care as much for this one as I do the others. I guess it was just too boring for me.

My favorite non-slasher horror movie is The Evil Dead though. The acting and the dialouge may be weird, but the concept and makeup jobs got me.
