Fighting Game Pain...

I was just playing Street Fighter Alpha 3 a minute ago, and my thumb started to bleed. Rubbing the middle of my thumb across the PS2 D-Pad hurts a little. I'm going to have to take a break from playing Street Fighter and Guilty Gear X2 for a little bit. I have to play MK Trilogy.

I was just wondering, has anybody ever had "Fighting Game Pain"? I feel a little embarrassed right now. And my thumb hurts.

I used to get blisters playing MK on SNES.

But... I had to suck up the pain and move on, for I needed to win! The earthrealm needed me! tongue

Oh yeah. I blistered up my thumb so bad, it hurt just to look at it. MK was the cause of it! Damn MK to hell! J/K!

once, was playing on my old psx/ps1/ps2 controller, the d-pad was retarded looking and shaped, and i was playing mkm:s-z for about two hours, and then the ain started to come, was horrid!

though i get the same pain when i play grand theft auto's and syphon fitler's aswell.

Sometimes if I play a game for a few hours my right thumb will get sore. Also when I play Smackdown: Here comes the pain and I get stuck in a submission hold I tend to rub all the buttons with the back of my thumb to get out "seems to be the quickest way" and that sometimes hurts a bit.

If I play games for too long, my fingers start to go numb. It annoys the hell out of me. Wouldn't really call it pain, but it is annoying. My pinky and the finger next to my pinky are the ones that go numb.. I could bite a chunk out of them and it wouldn't hurt, lol... When they go numb, though, of course. ^_^
This happens with any game though, not just fighting games.

For the past three months I have totally destroyed my left thumb from constantly playing Capcom vs SNK 2. But the worst pain was last Friday when I was playing Street Fight 3 for the Dreamcast at a convention, and I relearned the true meaning of pain: The Dreamcast D-Pad!

I used to have Street Fighter Alpha 3....and I could NEVER do one single move with Blanka (always hard to use for me) except the lightning thing which is stupid and leaves you vulnerable. My thumbs hurt when I play Capcom vs. SNK 2.

I have got more then a few tension headaches from playing games, but that's because i'm very nervous. Other then that, i hurt my thumbs sometimes, best (as in funniest.) was playing endurance race in Gran Turismo 3 with the games best car, meaning i only had to hold down the accelerator. For 1 and a half hour. I actually had a cavity in my right thumb from the X button! LOL.
