- Fighting EX Layer Coming to PS4, Beta Begins December 11

The next piece of news is that the dates for the beta test have been decided! Immediately following the conclusion of Playstation Experience on December 11, we will be holding the beta test for a two week period! There will be six characters playable in total: Kairi, Garuda, Skullomania, Darun Mister, Allen Snider, and Shirase.

This time we really want to focus on testing the network match function around the world, so everyone please participate and don’t hesitate to give us your honest feedback.

But that’s not all! We will also be bringing a demo version to Playstation Experience! If you want to get a headstart before the beta test, please come out and try our game.

The game will be released in two different versions – a $59.99 full version with all the characters and fifteen "Gougi" decks; and a $39.99 version with ten characters and five "Gougi" decks, which are used for customizing power-ups for characters. The game will not have a story mode, won't support PS3 arcade sticks upon release, and will only have Japanese voices. Arika has said that if the game is successful, however, a physical release is possible, as is a PC version.

The game, as of now, is launching only as a PlayStation 4 exclusive.

I wonder how much this game will sell at 60 bucks.

The game is launching at $60 with like 13 characters and is a passion project with barely any suppor and promo. I'd be surprised if they release DLC other than colors.

If they reach it's 1st month sales target, they'll add Sharon, Area, Vulcano Rosso and Pullum as DLC.

It's fucking bullshit that Pullum is only benig considered as a DLC character, she should've been in the game at launch, she's one of the OGs. The trailer is heartbreaking though. I'm definitely buying the $60 version now. This truly is a passion project, and i loved the EX games and its original characters back in the day, i really want this to do well.
