WTF are you guys talkin about?
G-unit is not hip hop? thats bull shit, they were underground rappers since 1999 perhaps even before, G-unit was signed into shady aftermath by Eminem, who was signed by Dr. DRE who was part of NWA... so what was your point? they're not hiphop anymore cuz they're making money now, you think they're sell outs? they only get sold out concerts so all of a sudden they suck cuz they're not mainstream... I like G-unit I also like other artists like the three-six-mafia or juicy who arent big but they still have good songs...

Agreed. All of there music is crap. Every single time I turn on the radio it's nothing but, Eminem, 50 Cent, G Unit, D-12, Obie Trice, Loid banks, Young Buck, ect. Nothing else. It's getting old hearing the same people saying the same shit over and over (glad to see Mase is back though). There music is nothing but garbige in my opinion. The whole genere has lost it's roots the only artists that are still around that are true to hip-hop and what it was founded on are the Beastie Boys. And they still make great music even after 18 years.

so according to your logic artists like Method n red members of wutang are sell outs too? all those artists you listed I listen to along with aesop rock J-live rakin and common, but to say I listen to fuckin nelly and chingys bisexual bullshit rap is fucking retarted on your part, I love hip hop and I hate it when people knock G-unit, because Get rich or die trying is a good album I'm not too sure on young buck but loyd banks is a lyrical giant I even listened the older Ruff ryders before they did DMX dirty shit I got most of those funky ass milticolored CD covers...
you prolly hate G-unit cuz they destroyed your boy Ja rule's Career, you should listen to the shit thats not playing on the radio, so shut your mouth before I get like Argetina and clap at your bitch ass...

g-unit is ok, but I much prefer Dipset and if u wanna get 'underground' or 'hip-hop' about it then Purple City Byrd Gang.
50 was hard as hell right up till he came out with Get Rich or Die Trying.
That cd is very good I won't front, but he was so overpromoted when it came out I get sick of his face.
Lloyd is for sure hard, and I bet his cd is gonna be off the hook too.
It's kinda hard to fuck up a cd when ur producers are Dr Dre and Eminem.
I will agree that artists like Mos Def and Talib are more 'hip hop' then most MTV artists, but they are all in the same pool.
Real Hip-hop is/was Run DMC, Brucy B, Curtis Blow, etc. Real hip hop carries a message other then 'jack this nigga and fuck this bitch'. There are a few still out there, but it's not like it used to be.
Anyone know if KRS-One really retired?? I heard that rumor a while ago..

Young Buck=Ownage. Love his "Let Me In" single.

0
I have Young Buck's autograph...
I like G-Unit.A few weeks ago I was calling them sell outs until they redeemed thereselves on Lloyd Banks Hunger For More CD.But there no where near as good as they were Underground. There still good though. As for Hip-Pop this is Hip-Pop:
nelly
Outkast(I liked them in the 90's when they were actual rappers)
Chingy
Ludacris
P.Diddy
Ja Rule(I love his 1st album though)
Jay-Z(I loved his 1st 2 cd's he still has skill but he talks about jewelry too much now)
Snoop Dogg(I liked his 1st cd.)
As you can see alot of rappers 1st cd's then were good. The early 90's(1990-1996) were the best years for rap.If you hate rap I suggest you check these following cd's they may change your mind about rap:
Nas-Illmatic
Geto Boys-Nobody can stop us
Jay Z-Reasonable Doubt Jay Z-In My Lifetime Vol 1. Run-DMC- Run DMC Slick Rick-The Adventures of Slick Rick Mobb Deep-Infamous Mobb Deep-Hell On Earth Notorious B.I.G.-Ready To Die Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth-The Soul Brother LL Cool J-Radio LL Cool J-Bigger and Differ Run-DMC-Raising Hell N.W.A.-Straight Outta Compton Kanye West-College Drop out Public Enemy-It Takes A Million To Hold Us Back Beatie Boys-Licensed To Ill
----------- Now each and every one of those cd's I mentioned ALOT of work was put into.I love hearing the motivation in rappers voices. Not only rap but Rock,R&B.I wish Rap would go back to its roots.I hate this whole make every song a party song era.Rap then touched on alot of Topics instead of partying and being wealthy. Before they used to talk about the bad stuff too. It's all the same now.The only rappers I really like now are Mobb Deep. EDIT:My list is messed up.

whoa....somebody needs to chill
Anyway, 50 cent has gone down hill after is PIMP single, Banks is decent, but not great, and Young Buck is ok too.
I think that the best R&B/Rap/Hip Hop group is by far Bone Thugz n'Harmony
Other good groups are the Eastside Boyz,Ying Yang Twinz,OutKast,Mobb Deep,Trilville, and Wu Tang
Terror Squad is getting pretty good too
