No, but seriously, Superman with relatively little trouble. It also depends a lot on how you interpret Dragonball since the power levels (especially later on) get a little wonky and inconsistent. But, generally speaking, Superman is far stronger and far faster than Goku is ever shown to be.

Otherwise all goku has to do is destroy the planet, if the initial explosion doesn't finish off Superman the lack of Oxygen will.

Save a life; Kill a necromorph
Goku pwned Superman
Didn't Superman used to push planets around? That's far more physically powerful than anything in DBZ.

"I have to go with Goku on this one, I mean come on, he’s faster, has a hell of a lot more fire power (he can blow up planets with his finger), his power is based on fighting capabilities as in the better fighter the more powerful you are, he is probably as strong as Supes (assuming he can run/jump/do pushups in 500 times earths gravity *with* weights on) lets say he weights 200+ and with weights lets make it 250+ now times that by 500 you got 125000 pounds without going SSJ1/2/3/4 (each level times strength by 50.)"
"P.S. their basically the same physically, so all it comes down to is Goku’s crazy shot/fighting advantage.
so...Supes gets raped. "

Superman can move planets, freeze things, burn things, and can use the sun to constantly replenish his energy; Superman wins, hands down.
DBZ peoples can destroy planets, freezing someone never effected a DBZ character, neither did burning them.
And if Goku had the power to destroy a planet at SSJ1 I'm sure the sun would be no problem at higher levels. Hell, Kid Buu destroyed planet after planet without breaking a sweat withing the space of a few minutes, Superman would've been dead before he even knew Kid Buu was there.

1) Superman doesn't need a spacesuit to live in space. Goku does. So planetary destruction would do more harm to Goku than Clark. Well, I mean, granted, Clark would be pretty emotionally fucked up if everything he cared about turned to ash but he'd at least be alive.
2) Superman is much stronger than Goku. Consider this: While training with King Kai after Cell's defeat, Goku struggled with 10 tons on each limb. So 40 tons and he had to go Super Saiyan. Now, at Super Saiyan level this was doable but still a worthwhile workout. Superman, on the other hand, moves planets. So at the beginning of Buu, Super Saiyan Goku is exercising with 40 tons. Superman's base (without sundipping) has handled 80 billion tons with relative ease.
3) Superman once warmed Earth (the whole planet) with his heat vision. He could very easily vaporize a planet (and beyond) with those rays of his. So Goku doesn't have a clear advantage in this department either.
4) Superman has insane control over his power. The man can perform brain surgery with his fucking eyes. Goku regularly slaps Chi Chi through walls.
5) Superman can sundip. He doesn't do this a whole lot so it's hard to judge the specifics of the power boost but conservative estimates would place a sundipped Superman at nigh god-like levels. We're talking just under cosmics here. At the absolute worst, a sundipped Superman would be equivalent to a SS3 Goku. At worst. Which as far as I know, is a retardedly low expectation since Superman without sundipping has shown feats that exceed SS3 and SS4 Goku.
6) Before someone says that Goku would beat Superman before allowing him to reach the sun, consider this: In Our Worlds At War, Superman flew to the sun in 8 minutes. Some math: The sun is about 93 million miles away. So if Superman flew there in 8 minutes, that means he was moving at 193,750 miles per second. Convert this and you get a speed of 697.5 MILLION miles per hour. For the record, light moves at approximately 670,616,629.384 miles per hour. And never in Dragonball has anyone moved at light speed or anything close to it. Bad translation work of the English dub aside.
7) One of the most impressive Superman feats actually happened not too long ago in Infinite Crisis. Superman pushed Superboy Prime through a mass of Kryptonite floating in space at Krypton's former location (it should be noted they started the scuffle very very far from this place), through the core of a red sun, and fought with him in a field of kryptonite after that. So even after taking all that punishment, he still survived. Goku bit the big one after Cell exploded.
8) Dragonball GT makes NO SENSE. Gohan going super saiyan, indeterminate power levels, little Goku being able to accomplish more than SS4 Goku... Even if you take GT at its best though, SS4 GOGETA is more limited in power than Superman. SS4 Gogeta cannot move at even close to the speed Superman does, doesn't have near the strength feats, and can only sustain himself for about 10 minutes before separating.
Basically, whatever Goku has in his arsenal, Superman at absolute worst matches if not far exceeds. Though I'd like to hear of some Goku feats that Superman can't match if anyone has them.

What use is speed against instant translocation/transmission?

What use is speed against instant translocation/transmission?
Instant transmission has rules just like anything else. First off, it's not exactly instantaneous. Well, it is, but every single time Goku uses it he first has to lock on to the location. It's not like Nightcrawler and poof. So that alone seems to take a few seconds. I think he used it once during the Cell fight pretty quickly to reangle his Kamehameha but even that one I don't remember being without a slight pause. Even so, Instant Transmission will get Goku around but it doesn't seem to be much use in actual combat. If it were then he'd use it more often. You never see Goku just popping in and out for just normal movement. He still needs to run/fly in battle (much slower than Superman can).
Let's imagine the absolute best case scenario. Superman attacks, Goku uses Instant Transmission to get away and puts himself in a location out of Clark's line of sight. That gives Goku maybe two seconds to do something before Superman regains composure and finds him. What does he do? I've already established that most anything Goku can throw out Clark is more than capable of handling. Even if Goku summed up all his power and launched a huge attack that blew up the planet, that would kill Goku but Supes would most likely survive. Even if Goku teleported to Namek and blew up Earth from a distance, you'd have a briefly happy Goku and a really really pissed off Superman. Not that Goku would even do something of the sort but for the purposes of this out of character battle...
And it's not even like a Spirit Bomb would be very effective against a guy with a heart of gold either. That alone makes one of Goku's strongest weapons useless.
I also think we shouldn't be even thinking out of character though. If you pit these two against each other, both wanting nothing more than to kill the other regardless of the consequences, and willing to do whatever necessary you then realize there are two guys perfectly capable of blowing up a planet but only one can survive in space. This isn't much of a fight. If it's in character then Superman won't go all out. The man rarely ever does that. As a matter of fact, Superman would more than likely throw the fight if he felt that bystanders would be harmed if it continued. Not saying that Goku would be willing to hurt people but if you notice he did accept Majin Vegeta's challenge and the only thing he did was travel to an uninhabited part of Earth. That implies that he knew that the fight wouldn't put the entire planet in danger. If Superman was up against a foe near his power who was unlikely to hold back, he'd try to move the fight off the planet itself. That alone tells me that Goku is weaker.

Anyways the Dragon Ball series was way better than Superman series.
Heh, are you on crack?
so I come back and I tought my topic would end up getting locked! whoa....... anyways Goku can beat Superman. but not Pre-Crisis Superman.
Pre-Crisis Superman had more inconsistencies than even DBGT. One minute Superman is closing black holes with his bare hands, the next minute he's getting K.O.ed by a truck.
Ok, look. Anyone saying Goku would win either doesn't know Dragonball or doesn't know Superman. Let's work some magic here.

im not gonna put much more into this debate just yet, but i would like to correct an inaccuracy, goku can trvel faster than superman, faster than the speed of light even. Instant transmission anyone?
