"I couldn't care less could" does not specify a reason...maybe it is a pyschological issue.
krackerjack Wrote:
"I could care less..." would mean that i could care less...obviously, therefore i'm not at the pinnacle of not giving a fuck (which in actual fact i am, because i really don't care at all), whereas "I couldn't care less..." sounds more correct as it indicates i am at the pinnacle of not giving a fuck.

I guess both are right but i personally think "I could care less" sounds a little more incorrect.

Heh, I have a funny 4th firework story that happened a couple of years ago.

My good friend invited me over to his house. I accepted and we were going to stay up at night using sparklers to piss neighbors off and such. Anyways, This friend of mine's dad is cool. He actually went to New Hampshire to buy some cool fireworks. Of course, here in Maine, Every firework is illeagal except sparklers and roman candles (i think). Anyways, He sets this thing on the ground (an M-80 maybe? i think it was but i forgot) and lights it. He runs back and theres this HUUUUGE explosion. Then the nighbor across the street says "Cut that out or I call the cops!!!" Of course, knowing he was bieng a total jackass, I flipped him off and headed inside.

THE END

Happy 4th, peeps. I didn't celebrate with fireworks, BBQ, or picnics. No sir, I enjoyed this beautiful holiday by nursing a very bad hang over. I celebrated a tad too early, I guess. tongue

I don't care if we charged into Iraq for oil or land. The living conditions in Iraq were shit, and I'm proud that I live in a nation doesn't put thumb to ass and just watch it get worse.

I'm also proud that I live in a country with lots of water fountains. I couldn't find any drinking fountains when I went to Europe.

LOL! There was a small fire in the field across from my house this evening. Some noob got a firework shot up in there and about 40 sq yards of brush and hay was lit up, lol.

My bedroom window over looks the road which passes in front of the neighborhood, and across is the field. Funny enough, I didn't notice it for a few minutes, then me' mums was like "the fields on fire!!" lol. I turned my head to look out and was like "whooaaa..." It was sweet.

I don't appreciated forcing people to take something they don't want. I also don't support politions who used Nazi money to get where they are...then continued with the Saudis money. I sure as hell don't support blood for oil. But the point is it goes deeper than bush and oil. That is just the tip of the ice berg.

The ideals we were raised with about this country were lies. I wish they weren't. I wish the troops well and I am sorry I let them risk their lifes for murderius rich men.

I could care less about the dirty politicians that go out there and risk other people's lives to get what they want.

I celebrate The 4th Of July because to me, it is a day of the people not the politicians. I love getting together with my neibors and have a good time, you can't stay miserable about your country, if you are not satisfied with what you have, improve on it. That is the American way, Right now America might not be in it's prime but I bet that one day, one man will be able to change this country around like some other great people in the history of our nation. We need a president that knows what it is like to live in a low class society and knows the values that many people take for granted each day. I also want a president that would gain the respect of all of the people by his actions and not his words, cause I feel that the politicians are nothing but talk. "We will get the terrorists and free the Iraqi nattions!" That is why I hear that people are blowing up in buses and I hear on the news that another American dies over seas.

I hope that some day, our country focuses on the people because todays world is rough, Terrorism, Lies, Deceipt. All of that shit gotta go, it makes me feel uncomfortable when I hear all this stuff. I said my points about America, and I hope all of you guys had a Happy 4th and I'll see you around the boards.

The "want" of Iraq isn't quite that universal. Yes, some people want to cling to old ways. Mostly because they've been raised to hate America. But there are also a large number of people who want to be able to live without the threat of oppression. Many people dislike this country, and use open mediums to communicate that view. This is a luxury our friends in the middle east do not have. If they attack their government, they could very well put themselves and their families in danger. And who exactly is telling us that Iraq doesn't want to be liberated? More than half the American and European media is extremely left-wing, not to mention against the war. If someone over there truly voices his desire for freedom, a very small amount of people in the Western world are going to hear it.

Change is painful, and almost never easy. Many Iraq citizens want liberation, but they don't want to the necessary sacrafices. Therefore, they shun our efforts. But there are still a strong percentage of Iraq that doesn't want the next generation to be totally screwed. If the other side of the spectrum doesn't want to be liberated, they may move to some other tyrannical country after everything is said and done, and have all the oppression they see fit.

If I wanted to, I could go outside and scream out how immoral and hypocritical our society, politics, and culture really are, and the government can't do a thing to me. I can also leave this country virtually anytime I want to if I feel it's become more corrupt than I'm willing to deal with. But most of all, I can influence change upon my government on both local and national levels(although this is debatable). These things, my friend, are not a lie. This is why I celebrate July 4th.
