Hatebreed qualifies, the others don't...although I've never heard of Twelve Tribes, so they might be hardcore, I don't know...

"Hardcore" isn't defined by how heavy it is. It really can't be easily defined in words, because it's so diverse. As was discussed in the Metal thread, the whole categorization of music is kinda arbitrary, but the bands and the fans often like to wear their labels proudly, however arbitrary they may be.

I just got into hardcore a while ago, here are some of my favorites:

Alexisonfire
Blood Brothers
Death by Stereo
Bleeding Through
Saosin (Though I'm not sure if it qualifies)
AFI (their older stuff)
Minor Threat

FYI, Saosin's rap side project is the best thing I've ever heard.
