it was gd up until the last hour were it just turned in2 a cheesy ending where basically 4 such a bad thing 2 many survived, it was ok though the film was neva about the story it was about the event itself and the special effects

I saw it today and I've gotta admit, the special effects were pretty impressive. Just imagine that it could happen (well, probably not, but just imagine).

Agreed, the end in very cheesy but hey, isn't that always the deal with that kind of movie?

I saw it last night and let me tell you, that movie kicks @$$. the special effecs were fantastic and the storyline was ok, the ending kinda sucked but i think too many people survived a storm that freezes you when you go outside. those wolfs were like copies of resident evil. it was altogether a pretty good movie, and im gonna buy it whenever it comes out on DVD.

Great movie. The first movie I ever seen that seriously had "non-stop" action. Roland Emmerich fims always have hollywood endings. I know he did Godzilla and Independence Day, but what was the other big movie he had?

The ENTIRE MOVIE HAS HOLLYWOOOD Written all over it. Not just the ending. Honestly, the only good thing about this movie were the special Effects. But even the flooding of NY was WAAAAY too short. The first hour was decent, The 2nd hour was absolute shit. Terrible Acting, Corny writting.

IE: Its the end of the world outside, NY is completely flooded, yet that geeky old couple still has TIME to argue on which books to burn to survive? Meanwhile the audience is laughing! SHUT UP!

(Also... They were in a library, wood was everywhere. They were acting like they NEEDED the books to live. Burn a fucking wooden chair!)

Also... That stupid black kid. "Don't worry guys we can burn the tax laws!" And the audience laughs? That shits not funny, thats corny. For an end of the world movie... the audience sure did laugh a lot. Someone behind me yelled out, "This movie sucks!" And me and my friends cracked up big time for that.

Yes this is a disaster movie.. but not one that it was ment to be.

4 out of 10. And thats because I'm in a good mood.

First The Punisher...Then Troy...Now this.

I had high hopes for these movies but they turned out be shitty.

Go watch Man on Fire. Not only is that a good movie buts its a good REVENGE movie done right! (Punisher)

You forgot Van Helsing, but I wasn't really going in the theater expecting it to be what it was hyped up to be.

True, I saw Van Helsing too... Didn't really like it. But like you said, I didn't expect it to tickle my balls anyway.

I want to go see it for the special effects. I've heard it sucks and it's funny for all the wrong reasons.

Its not even worth seeing for the special effects. Unless you like shitty writting and bad acting. If so... ENJOY!

The Cold Kombatant has strong feelings on this movie...the only thing that really looked good from what I saw in the previews was the special effects, so I probably wont even see it.

Trust me dude. Save your money. The only reason people may like it is because of the special effects but WHY would you spend money for a ticket knowing that the only positive aspect the movie has are effects? On top of that... The NY flooding was over before I even got excited about it. The acting is HORRID.

Save your money.

I liked the movie. It was great. And, Blade 2 had non-stop action tongue. More action than this actually. grin
