Willy Wonka by Tim Burton
Superman in 2006
Batman is also coming back

is hollywood desperate, havent they NEW ideas? shit, i guess i cant complain, im actually looking forward to these titles, but hollywood just cant capture that appeal i dont think.

take the upcoming film Catwoman with Berry, it just doesnt feel right. Also, the Hulk stunk, Hellboy was so so, but X2 was pretty tight.

IKm nervous about superman...i have a feeling it wont meet expectations, and he is just TOO cool to let me down.

I dont like Tim Burtons version. Charlie seems more like a Red X in the remake.

Yeah, something did feel a little off. Watch it back to back with the original, and you realise Depp just didn't match up to Gene Wilder. And Burton went a little overboard with the wacky set designs; they were just too unreal so you felt disconnected from the film. And some of the dialogue was just weird; even Depp's over-the-top delivery couldn't hide that.

But I generally like remakes and adaptations. Even if they suck, I still find them interesting to watch, to see different people's interpretations of the same stories and characters.

And Hulk did suck. Storylines have to do more than just exist in order to be good.

Until I watched the Psycho remake, I liked them. As I watched that movie... well I'm glad I didn't have anything sharp around me. Oh and I never saw the Wonka remake.

Um... How can you not like Burtons version of wonka when its not even out??
To my knowledge their isnt even a teaser.
Catwoman's tagline alone of "when someone dies a cat brings them back from the dead." Can you say...Crow rip off?!
Hulk was pretty good. It felt like a comicbook. Something that hasnt been done.

Now take the recent Dawn of the dead. Ive watched both and I still think the original is better.

I loved "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory", and I enjoy Tim Burton's movies, so I can't wait to see his version of it come to theaters!

Well, remakes usually never catch the appeal that the first had. You forgot the remake of King Kong comin out.

I know. But the original catwoman was just a theif. Not some nitwit,anti-hero in a suit.
If you heard the tagline for Catwoman, Its the crow word for word minus said animal.

Peter Jackson is doing King Kong. I think he proved to everyone the guy can direct a great movie. Though I wish he would do more splater films...

I know their is alot of talk with alot of remakes in horror. Toolbox murderers,Phantasm( though the last one isnt even done yet). Black Christmas ect.
