Everytime I try to write a five sentence paragraph,they say an error has occurred!

I still get on just as much as before, no more, no less. But the server busy messages do irritate me. I just wait and try and refresh every thirty seconds or so. Fatality.

As of writing this there are 63 users on. That's fuckin sick! I know we can't really blame the mods for all the people here, but that number is twice than what it normally was a year ago.

This is getting slightly annoying now, everyday the sever goes busy, everyone just keeps coming back on, so the server will go busy again like a never ending cycle

Hey, i get the server is busy message when there are aproximatively 20 persons online, and i've got broadband. There is definitively a problem here. And by October 4, it's gonna be hellish.

I ussually get Server is Busy when about 62 peeps are here....so for me, its not THAT bad

I get on this site every single day and I guearantee more than half of the time I'm on here I'm hitting refresh beacuse the server is ALWAYS busy.. This is like E3 was only this is worse because this doesn't go away. This is all the freaking time 24/7 since the "server upgrade" even though I think the server got downgraded or something. It just seems like it's not getting any better while at the same time isn't not really getting that worse. Earlier today though at like 3 PM Central time I couldn't even read 3 messages on the forum without a "server is busy" message popping up. BULL PLOP!

That's why I'm organizing a mass orgy for that day, since the server will be too flooded for people to come here.

P.S. I've been signed on for about 40 minutes, and I've gotten ZERO "Server Is Busy" messages.

I don't know the configuration of the web server, but if it is hosted externally, and it is on a shared web server then you have to expect a busy server. Even at time when there are only 30 listed users, it may be the other websites that are hosted on the same server that is effecting the speed of MKO.

If however MKO is on it's own dedicated server, then it's not good to be busy at 30 active users.

I assume that it is shared-hosting as it's not really a profitable organisation to be paying for a dedicated webserver. HUGE difference of $7.95/mth shared to $89.00/mth for dedicated.

The only thing that bothers me is the popup I get whenever I log onto MKO. Online education...wtf?!? It's only this site that gives me the popup without fail.

I've never seen any other server that is busy so often with the number of people that log-on.

I'm hoping that just maybe, version 7 might solve this problem, I mean version 6 beats a lot of websites already, what more can they do except make it look all flashy and new and fix some current problems.

Now i've been on for like 1 hour, and no busy message. I gess the server i shared?

Actually, we are a dedicated host. In fact, your $89 a month is not even close to what I pay for this server. Unfortunately, the current version of the system that is running MKO takes up a lot of memory and buying more is currently out of question. I am hoping to make some optimization changes sometime soon that should help it get a little better. As for the pop-ups, there is no code on this website that causes pop-ups, so I'd suggest running an AdWare/SpyWare program as I think you may have one or more installed.

I c your point there. This site has a lot of stuff. with the forums there are a lot of forums and threads and a lot of stuff on here that would lower there memory. It's ok in the morning and after midnight but im mostly on in the morning. But in the afternoon and night the site floods. right now 38 users on thats not bad.

Now I have a question for you MODS and the Owners. Ok now these system busy stuff are getting annoying. Now you all have been saying its because of the memory. Now wouldn't it make sense to delete all pointless threads that have been closed. Also you could delete the really old ones like the ones that would get closed if they were bumped. Why let them be there for no reason. If someone would bump them you would just close them. This could help the site out I believe.

Explain this to me, PLEASE:

You say the "Server is Busy" message is annoying. You're telling the mods to get rid of all the old threads (which they sort of did already with the archives). You're also telling them to delete the closed threads. If memory issues is the problem, and there is a memory issue because of "pointless" threads, then why the hell did you create a thread saying the exact same thing you wrote here???

Mainly because when I made my thread I thought it would die which it probably will and no one will see it so I posted here after I made that one. Hell if they start deleting threads can start with that one. But one thread is not gonna make a damn difference. Idk what your problem is but I would actually want someone to see my idea so it will work. Then maybe I can be on the site with out a damn server busy message so why don't you calm down and stop bitching. Because my threads not pointless I'm just trying to give some ideas because as you read above there not gonna buy more memory.
