Good idea with an introduction forum. ^^

I am Jaded-Raven and I have been on this forum since the launch of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance... I think... Anyways, I've been here for a long time, on and off.

My favourite character is Jade, as you might have guessed from my username, my avatar and my sig. She's been my favourite since I played her in the SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. However, I have played Mortal Kombat since the first one came out on SNES... which I SUCKED at! And still do to this day. XD

When Mortal Kombat 2 came out for SNES, I of course played that as well and found a favourite character in Kitana. I am a sucker for ninja chicks in fighting games, and other assassin-like characters who relies on speed and deadly precision over brute strength. And that was when I also met Jade the first time, as a secret character and green palette swap of Kitana. Her immense speed and annoying way of always beating the crap out of me actually caught my interest, so I started doing some research on who she really was...

And that is how my interest in Mortal Kombat's lore started. I fell in love with the fantasy setting the world of MK was set in and the storyline of the games, and it only evolved as the series progressed.

Now it is the year of 2011 and the series is about to make a massive turn in the canon storyline, changing almost everything we know and love. I already know what's going to happen, due to the hacked data-file leaks there's been roaming around in the forums. I can't help it, I am curious like that, and spoilers have never ruined a game or a movie for me. But don't worry, I'm not going to spoil anything. ;)

I have always been a fan of Mortal Kombat and I have owned every game that has been released which follows the main canon storyline, amongst a few others such as Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks and Mortal Kombat VS DC Uiverse. Right now I am playing the demo of the new Mortal Kombat, the 8th of the canon series, and I love it. It is the best Mortal Kombat I have ever played, and I can't wait for the full game to be released. ^^
