I got a PS2 because a bunch of games I'm looking forward to are on it(InuYasha secret of the cursed mask,GTA:SA,Final Fantasy XII,etc) ,plus I like the controler ,it's similar to SNES. As for the Xbox ,I have a thing about not supporting Microsoft.

I don't have a computer. My roomate however ,does. As does the library ,My cousin/ex-roomate ,and several others. I should have said I dislike Microsoft ,rather than not sopport ,but whatever.

I don't care too much for Xbox. I'll play it. I play my cousin/ex-roomate's ,I have a Star Wars KOTOR ,Halo and Crimson Skies save files. All the games I want to play are on PS2. I don't care which system you prefer ,that's your opinion ,and this is mine. If I wanted a computer I would've bought one.

Better Graphics, Better Loading Times, 10x Smoother Online Play, Internal Memory, Most Powerful system out there.

And The Game Library is the same or BETTER than PS 2.

Look at any new release game coming out... About 80% of the games that come out are made for BOTH Systems. Why not go for the more powerful one?

S-Type Controller. JUST ABOUT THE SAME SIZE as a PS 2 controller. So that statement of the controller being too big totally got shot outta the water.

Sure at the time it first came out. MAYBE. But now its I think... $150? WITH HALO? Come on. COME ON!

I can't stress the fact that Xbox has such a better Online network. The entire setup is better. I was at my friends house and he has the PS 2 online adapter with Socom 2. Finding a friend is virtually impossible. You can't connect to a specific players game. And its not Broadband only. Which means most of the games that are PS 2 online could be totally be shitted on by 56k users. They could make games slow and totally shut them down.

Xbox live doesn't play around with 56k. If you don't have cable you're not going live.

I'm ready for all the "FANBOY!!!" and "MICROSOFT LOVER!" comments some already have set in their mind to say to me as they read this. But whatever. I'm just speaking how it is. And its time to stop ignoring the Xbox like its a piece of shit. And this is coming from a person with all 3 consoles.

The Xbox console itself is the best. The are alot of things to do and you can even copy music from CDs into it so you can listen to it whenever you want and hear it while playing certain games like True Crimes or GTA3/Vice City

I forgot who it was that wrote it(damn the lack of the archives!), but there was a thread here quite some time ago where it was basically proven that GameCube is the most powerful of all three.

P.S. When it came time for me to pick a console to buy this year, I chose the XBOX, so it's not like I'm this huge Nintendo fanboy (though I admit I used to be one).

Right on man, right on. And as for Gamecube being the most powerful of the three? YEAH RIGHT!!! I'm going to die laughing if i hear that again. Forget it Gamecube might be more powerful than the Ps2 but there is no way in hell that it more powerful than Xbox.

Well I own a gamecube and PS1-PS2 and am just as happy with them.

The followin is my opionin about x-box,
I did like x-box when it came out but i had a change of heart soon after, it was way to big and weird lookin, controler reminded me of Dreamcast, was too similar to a PC. Also halo seems to be the only game that was good on the system. I just don't think x-box is appealing to young teens. Price really has nothing to do with it, xbox doesnt have a large fan base in general.

The More I think about it the more I realize theres no way to change someones mind about a system even if you feel another system has it totally beat. I made my points. Which I think are good ones too. And for those of you who agree with me on them, badass. For those that don't...Oh well.

Enough of the console war, people. When someone creates such a thread, that has nothing to do with your opinion on any console, don't add your comment. "Should have bought a X-Box" and like replies were completely unneccesary and detering to this thread's subject.

Accept people have different opinions and do not require anyone else's input on any choices they may make in life. It's completely absurd when someone cannot even mention the term "console" without a thread resulting in an off topic debate.

Can I get a word in ,this is MY thread afterall. I bought a PS2 for the pupose of playing: DBZ Boudokai 1-3 ,InuYasha: secret of the cursed mask ,Final Fantasy X/X2 and XII ,GTA 3-SA ,Mortal Kombat:DA-D ,Twisted Metal Black(own) ,my PSX games Final Fantasy VII ,Tactics and Battle arena toshinden 2 ,because my PSX pulled a Humpty Dumpty. As well as any future games I'm interested in.


I also like the controler layout ,I'm comfortable with it because it's like the SNES controler. I don't like Xbox ,I just don't. Damn controler makes my hands ache ,plus I can't properly play Halo with it.

I don't play anything online ,except Counter Strike at my old neighbor's place. THERE I'M DONE ,thread can be closed or whatever ,I don't care anymore. INUYASHA FOREVER.

I forgot... Also the Music CD's ,Xbox doesn't properly read CDR's. NO I CAN'T BUY THE REAL CDs ,because A:I'm too poor ,and B:I listen to jpop(japanese pop,anime themes etc.) they wont order them around here. You would think with the ammount of Asians here in Saint John ,that at least 1 music store would sell or import something. At least I don't listen to Feminem.
