I plan on getting the PS3 (but I'm gonna wait a bit to see if there are any initial problems like there were with the PS2)

I don't think I'm going to get the X-Box 2, at least not right away. If I do, for some unnatural reason, it'll probably be after it's been out for a couple of years.

When it comes to handhelds I'm going to end up getting both the PSP and the DS, but I want the DS more.

I am most def get PS3. As for X-Box 2...I wasnt a fan of the first since I have it in my closet and I never play it!

I want SEGA to come back! Damnit!

I'm getting them all the day they come out. Each one will most likely have at least one game that will have me salivating uncontrolably.

Same here. I just hope the PS3 will run PS1 and PS2 games.
I also hope that the controller port will be the same. like this I won't have to buy 4 controllers or a multitap.

You people are fools, nothing has been announced yet, for all we know the only launch game availible for PS3 could be a Mary Kate and Ashley game. I loved PS2 and hate Xbox, but Xbox2 could have a great lineup and PS3 could suck, I don't know, I'll have to wait and see some screens and some info before I can say what system I miht wanna get, if any.

None.Why, because not one of the systems out now has shown me everything that it can do.Xbox is supposed to be 4 times as powerful as ps2 yet Where are the godly games, That sends people into seizures??? Nowhere. Mostly everything thats on the xbox can be done on the ps2.The only system I might consider getting is the psp. It looks hella mighty indeed.My point is Until I start seeing some smoke being thrown around those vampires will not get another cent of my money!

PS3 all the way. I read that it is supposed to take the place of your PC and everything. The only bad thing is, I'm fearing the price!

the DS, PS3, XBox2, and Nintendo Revolution. The next XBox system is suppose to concentrate on better games more. i will probably wait to get them once i see some games that are interesting.

Personally I am going to wait until they all come out before I decide. Because I bought N64 when it came out because I was amazed and it turned out to be shit. I then bought gamecube after because i thought it would be great and it turned out to be shit, so I traded it for a PS2 and was very happy. I bought an xbox and that also turned out to be crap. Not saying sony is god of consoles, but I deffinately wish i picked up a playstation rather then an N64 so many moons ago.

Also I heard that PS3 will not support PS1 games, I read that in some E3 report from some magazine, whether its true or not I'm not sure I don't really care because I believe if PS3 is released and you want to play PS1 and PS2 games, odds are you have either a ps1 or ps2 and don't need the ps3 to play old games. Anyways, personally I think Nintendo is turning into an abstract company.
Duel Screen was a little sketchy at first, but I am convinced it is useless. Nothing I've seen makes any real use of both screens, and the touch screen deffinately appears to be a waste. The problem I see in Nintendo, is that ever since they had their asses stomped with N64 and the world proved that cartridges were not the future of video games, they decided to not accept defeat and keep coming out with awkward technology. Instead of coming up with a security scheme to protect their software, they simply sacraficed disk space and made smaller discs. Now if they came up with some sort of security that software developers could benefit from then they could collect some serious royalties, but they took the easy way out.
Not only that, but I am all about my hardware looking attractive. The gamecube just didn't do it for me. I mean purple? It was bad enough when everyone copied the iMac clear plastic color scheme but Nintendo is really lost their minds. They are a little too hardcore with "creativity" when in fact, there has been very little innovation coming from them besides their new DK Jungle Beat game and Pikmin series, both yet to impress me. Maybe I am biased because Nintendo has failed to deliver anything that makes their system worthwhile. A couple of A+ games do not convince me to spend 100 dollars extra on a system.

I'll purchase the ps2 for sure,it looks awesome.

I just bought a PS2 this week so I don't think I'm getting any new systems soon. Unless of course I have a quick money surge (very unlikely) and some great game (like MK7) is released in the meanwhile.

As for me, I'm gonna probably get the PS3 since since PS1 and PS2 have never led me astray. Tho I will also check out the Xbox2 because I really dig the XBox, tho I don't have one. I know a guy sellin one for 100 bucks, I might get it off him if he still has it, but I told him before he sells it to spend 20 and get Halo and at least try it.

I really hope PS3 has the 4 controller ports, multitap is teh suck.

Love Xbox and the games that have come out for it. PS2 never gave reason for dissapointment other than it's reliability. Gamecube has a few good games, I hardly play games on it but when I do I usually have a great time doing it. I'll likely purchase each of the next generation consoles. The only thing that would have me hesitate at the thought of buying an Xbox-Next is if they took out the hard drive.

As for Nintendo DS and PSP, I'm not much of a handheld gamer.

I'll probably get Xbox 2, and PS3. Maybe DS if I have some money to kick around and decide to get it to replace my GBA. AS for the PSP no fucking way. $300 for a handheld! I don't care if it has simalar specs as the PS2 it's still way to much. I'd rather spend that mone on a Pocket PC or a Blackberry.

They said the same thing about the X-Box. Don't go by just that one bit of info (though by the time it's about to come out the real specs already will be available)...Also take into account that it only going to be as strong as a slightly above average PC now. By the time it comes out PC hardware will already be much more advanced. Here's the best way to make a good comparison. Look at a game like Halo 2 then compare it to Far Cry. BIG difference right? Now think of what it's going to be like in 2-3 years.

Umm X-Box has pretty much shown what it's capable of. It's hardrive is huge and (with the help of a great Linex hack) has the ability to store plenty of games. IT's graphics have/and will be at their best in Fable, Halo 2 and Doom III (when it's released). I think you just bought a little too much into the overexagerated statements made prior to the X-Box's release.

I'll wait a while, but chances are I'll get the new Nintendo system if it was a desirable library, otherwise, nothing else.
