Howdy.

On a whim inspired by the plight of myself and many of you MKO-loving bitches, I've created a PHP-driven set of scripts to catalog news from MKO's main page, in an attempt to at least help some of the people wanting news but cannot get into the site because it is busy. You can find it here: http://mirror.garret.tv/mko/.

The RSS feed is my source for the news. Granted, it doesn't include perks such as links and images, but this script isn't meant to be a permanent source for MKO news (unless, of course, you either don't like the look of the site or your web browser doesn't display it properly :). Its purpose is to provide a temporary source for news updates when that's all you're interested in and cannot access the site.

The script uses Cronjobs to access the post cataloging script every 10 minutes. If anyone actually finds this useful, I'd like to know if any bugs are clearly seen, if it's pretty, whatever. Thanks.

Great idea man. Nice way to get the news if we can't get. Me too have put this on my favorites. Always nice to have a backup in case the server is too busy. Great job dude smile

Wow, heh, I was actually expecting something like "uh lol y wuld we wnat this????//" but that's cool. Thanks guys, glad I can be of help.

By the way, the scripts got their first chance to actually catalog the news via Cronjobs with the last news post. So the automation process works great.
