I don't know if anyone knew this, but it was orignally called "Takeshi's Castle" here in Japan. The two characters, "Vic" was actually Takeshi, the evil king and "Kenny" was his stupid sidekick. All of the contestants were actually trying to storm their castle to defeat him, but every time they were defeated. Anyways, I find it hilarious the way SpikeTV has completely dubbed it into another show.

His name is actually Kitano "Beat" Takeshi. He's an acclaimed actor and director in Japan. If you've seen Battle Royale, he plays the role of the headmaster of the BR project.
