Neighbors stealing my wifi... Need help

I have nowhere left to turn. My asshole neighbors are stealing my wifi. I don't know how to put on a password. It's really quite annoying. Constantly lagging online is not fun. If I could I would go over to those theiving bastards' house and make them cry in agony in a puddle of their own shit. So if anyone has any helpful suggestions as to how these buttfuckers can leave me alone let me know. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Learn to put a password on it and then do so. If not, well, then you just have to live with it. If it doesn't say how to put a password on it in the manual, then you can look it up on the internet or call customer service.

Yeah, I would call customer service and ask them how to put in a password

You can even google how to put a password on ur router depending on what brand and model it is. and yes, its super important to have ur WiFi password protected... cause otherwise ppl can get into ur network and do da hax... or even worse... occupy bandwith!

I do computer repair for a living. just do the following
open command prompt
type ipconfig /all
look for the default gateway number
open your internet browser and type the number that was listed as your default gateway
you should now be at your router configuration page
somewhere on the page you will find an option to add either wep or wpa encryption
select this and type the password you wish to use
sorry I couldn't be more detailed, I'm typing this from my phone

go to your wireless routers page the number should be on the router somewhere
get the log in info for your router u can find the default log in info online change the default username and password when your in
from there look for internet encryption or some shit it will show wep, wpa-psk
get WPA if you can
I strongly advise you not to use WEP its really easy to crack and just not good if your router doesnt support WPA its better to get a new one
but WEP is better than having nothing
you will also have to set a password, make a random one that is not easy to guess
you will only have to type it in once on your computer it automatically remembers it
and if you need help look it up or call your wireless router company dont call your isp i did and they are fucking stupid and not helpful
well thats probably just mine

That sir. Is a valid suggestion.

If none of ^that works, open you front door, angrily shake your fist, and yell, "Hey you damn neighbors! Quit stealin' my damn wifi!"

I googled "wifi password" this is what I found.
You can also change the SSID (The name that shows up when you log in to the network) to something derogatory if you want, but they might view it as a challenge instead of an insult.

Nothing pissed me off more that day than hearing that. I understand that people can jack into other connections for a brief time or whatever if nothing else is available. But to leech off of somebodies internet, bringing them down on a constant basis.... man that gets me good.
Please let us know how this turns out. And PLEASE take care of this. I can't fucking stand that this is happening to you. haha.
I need closure. I personally would snap on the person.
